I don't see the big deal with ratings myself. I could really care less if a game is rated E, T, M, or AO. It's the gameplay that matters. If a game is fun and happens to be AO, so be it.

Depends...if it's only like the bishoujo text/graphics games distributed by companies like http://www.peachprincess.com (NSFW)...then no...I'll continue getting them for PC. I know that Kana Little Sister was ported to the Japanses PS2 and I think the Xbox.

It would realy depend on what the content of the game was as well as the kind of stores selling it. I wouldnt be interested in one that's entire selling point was gratuitious nudity. If I wanted that, I would just go rent a porn tape. If it had a good storyline that used sexual subject matter in context while presenting an involving story, I would probly be more willing to up the 50-60$ required for it. As those games dont exist or I am unaware of them, its mostly a moot point at this moment.

Yes. I don't see porn games ever catching on. But games like Leisure Suit Larry, with more graphic images and drug orinated thems DEFINATLY. If the AO rating ever passed there would be like no games for it..... that doesn't intrest people.

almost everyone here jumped on the sex issue. what about ultraviolence and story-based issues? i've always wanted something that could match some of the heights in the aforementioned catagories seen only in movies and such.

although a really disturbing sex game (like that one where you chased down some girl and raped her, a month or two ago someone posted a link to it) could spark my gag-purchase reflex.

Hells yes i'd buy an AO game. I whent to great len gths to find the Punisher Uncensored hack v2 so i play the game as the designers originally intended and not the watered down worthless peice of crap that the m-rated version was.

It fully depends if I'm interested in the game or not. I wouldn't buy one just to own one. I don't mind porn or violence in a game as long as it fits the gameplay and the gameplay itself is fun. But something like strippoker or a brainless slaughter game wouldn't be enough to let me spend my money.

In general I can say that I don't care about those ratings, I'm old enough to buy whatever I want anyway.

Depends on the game itself...and the definition of the term. Doom 3 pushes the gore/ fear/ violence envelope pretty close to the adults-only realm. For sexual titillation, DOA Beach Volleyball was voyeuristic and suggestive as hell.

As far as actual porn goes, I'm not interested in it at the magazine or movie level, so I probably wouldn't be interested in it at a game level either. Been married too long, I guess. Or maybe I haven't been married for long enough! ;) LOL :roll: :P
