What are your 3 personal Favorites game series? mine are:

#1=Mario
#2=Resident Evil
#3=Castlevania

for me, my top 2 are very easy to pick, only because most other series, i only love 1 game in their series, maybe in 10 years i might change #3 to HALO, since HALO is 1 of my top 3 games EVER to come out.

Mario gets my #1 spot Because super Mario 3 (NES) is my #1 Favorite game EVER!!! and this game (for me) is far above any game ever released!! and i have not played a Mario game that i don't like. but there are 1 or 2 that i have not played yet. ;)

Resident Evil get #2 because the first Resident Evil scared the Shit out of me! (and still does hehe) and is my 3rd favorite game of all time.
i love the remake of Resident Evil 1 on the gamecube over the playstation version. i have almost all the Resident evil games, i wish i could say that there is no Resident Evil game that i don't love but there are a few that just plain STINK! but there are 6 games in the series that have taken Years of my gaming life.

Castlevania get #3 (for now) it was tough picking #3 because there are a few other series (Doom, Tomb Raider, double dragon) that has as many games that i liked, but that's it, i have liked them, not LOVED. i have enjoyed almost all the games that has came out in the castlevania series.

so what are your top 3 series and why.

Mario
FF
Castelvania

Well, Mario can not be denied. You can argue that its because of him that video games enjoy the market they do today. Plus the games were, and still are, a ton of fun.

FF, I know lots of people bash this series. Its popular for a reason though, I still play through FF1 and FF3(6) once a year. I haven't played anything after FF7 except for the Tactics series which I really really enjoy. I'm not your typical FF fan because I prefer the oldschool FF stuff.

Ahhh Castlevania, loved it since the release of the first one. I've been grabbing crosses and jumping over daggers for as long as I can remember, and who can deny SotN as a crowning achievement in adventure games? It will be around for a long time to come despite the N64's best attempts to destroy it.

I would have to disagree with the RE series for me though, I never liked any of it the least bit.
