As you said Caut, if I were rich, I'd so buy it.

I mean, right now, I'm tempted to bid on it, but wait, I don't even have that much money right now.

Damn, I'd love that thing. It's literally the ultimate Dreamcast.

Other Dreamcasts can try to compete with it's kickass-ery, but they're just gonna fail, miserably.

Crumbs! That's pretty mental ..

I see at least one DP-er in the bidding .. although it looks like he may be out of the running now. We shall see!

And the top two bidders now are both from the States - I bet he's glad he changed to worldwide shipping now!

I recall there being a contest a few years back for the last Dreamcast console produced with all the developers names signed on it. THAT is the true rarest dreamcast system.

It's cool as fuck, but if there's 200 made (as the auction says) then there's at least a couple of variations that are rarer.

Possibly a variation where Yuji Naka misspells his name or something LOL

Was only 50 of those DC's signed from what I remember the other 150 were unsigned. Should bring in around £1000 I think.
I'd like that DC :D

Damn, I'd be all over that in a second if I had the money...That's one of the coolest LE systems I've ever seen!

i think it would be cool to own but it looks somewhat cheap (maybe just the picture). the design is just kinda boring.

Doesnt look that good to me imo. Looks like some kid just put a Sonic sticker on it lol ;)
But if its rare, no wonder it got a high price.

I'm drooling for this. But even if I had that kinda money to spend, its going to rocket in price in the coming days. It is going to collect an outrageous fee, and to be honest, does the seller deserve such money? He won it. This doesn't feel right. You just don't sell this kind of thing. A gift, from Sega. You don't sell it!

If you look at the Q & A, he didn't win it. He bought it from the dad of some 14 year old who won it. So no, the seller doesn't 'deserve' the money - I expect he probably paid the dad a measly £100 at most for that thing.

The kid that won it deserves the money, IMHO - it was his prize!

Nah, just bad to have had him sign it in the first place.

um, any1 wanna buy it from me? :)

Did you win it off of eBay? I was actually bidding on one... It would have been my shame, but I bid anyway.

Well, I can safely say that there is definately one DP'er in there! ;)

I also believe there are a few more too, and a couple more which will be bidding towards the end! (Rumor on the street has it)

Still, it's gone way over what i'd be willing to pay for it - But then, I don't own a DreamCast site to show it off on like a few people I can think of...

This one looks to be a bargain so far then... 25 minutes left, £590...

Well, "Bargain". You know what I mean. :P

Erm, what? I'm struggling to find logic in this sentence - are you saying that despite the previous owner selling this item, becuase it suddenly conspires that it's worth a mint, they should be able to claim anything on top of what they originally sold it for?

I repeat: Erm, what?

No, I was responding to someone who queried if the seller 'deserved' the price that this will fetch, and stated that someone shouldn't sell a 'gift' from Sega like this.

I would presume the original owner sold this not knowing what it was actually worth. In this sense, the current seller does not 'deserve' the money, they just got lucky.

If anyone 'deserves' it then it is the person who originally won the prize - I'm not saying that anyone is under any obligation to now pass that money along to them, just that they were unlucky to have let it go without realising its worth.

And to say they shouldn't have sold a 'gift' from Sega seems ridiculous to me. It's not like anyone at Sega is going to be mortally offended that some 14 year old has sold a prize that they gave out purely in self-interest to gain exposure and to promote their brand. They're a business after all, they don't give things away just out of the sheer goodness of their hearts!!

Well, it went for a nice price so it seems! I was surprised at the outcome though and the person who won it...

Anyone know who it was?

I was surprised that the two people I thought would win it, didn't.

My bad. Although I still disagree with the seller not deserving the money - someone eagle-eyed enough to spot a bargain when they see one deserves everything they get in my opinion.
