I've been working on this for a month or so and it's finally at a point where it's working. The main thing I have left to do is allow it to be resizable or at least run at different resolutions (it's currently hard set at 800x600 to make the skins work).

The point of this front end was to make one that people can get up and running in 5 minutes, and I think I've succeeded in that. Check it out if you like playing with front ends and let me know what you think!

I am almost done with my Windows based front end. Doesn't help you for a DOS cab though. Right now it's set to run at 800x600 but I'm working on making it either resizable or available in a couple of different resolutions.

The goal of my front end is to be the simplest front end to set up. Most of the configuration options on mine are completely optional. If you want to change the background picture, font colors, add details and screenshots, great! If you don't want to, it still works. The other thing I've done is made it user-friendly for all emulators, not just MAME.

I've actually made a couple of different "skins" (they're really just INI files that allow you to change the program's colors and background graphics) to show some of the program's versitility.

The screen shots look good. I'd give it a shot, but I use Macs. I'm thinking of building a cheapie MAME cab for my brother in law sometime this year though. If I do that I'll try out your front end. In any case, thanks for contributing to the MAME community! :)

Awesome, I'm glad it worked for you! If you have any suggestions or anything let me know, it's still under development.
