Unreal Championship 2

This just hit stores today. I'll likely be breaking it in on Live this weekend. My gamertag is "davebrit2". Gameplay seems pretty smooth from what I've tried so far, though the lack of complete control customization makes me sad deep down inside. The strong emphasis on melee combat is a drastic change for the series, so I'll probably need some time to adjust.

So, anybody want to play this online instead of Halo 2? Ha ha.

Hmm... new Unreal Tourney or new Halo 2 maps... that's not too tough of a choice. Unreal would just collect dust if I bought it now. Its definitely worthy of a late summer purchase for those days when its scorching hot outside and AC is my best friend. It'll likely be cheaper then too. :)

It arrived in the UK today. Picked up a copy an hour ago. Haven't had a chance yet to play it. Also finally picked up a copy of Morrowind for the Xbox. Yeah, I know, I should have got it for the PC but PC gaming for me feels real dull. Don't know why.

Anyway, looking forward to playing UCII and felt like bumping this to get people talking for when I come back to comment on the game.

The melee combat and much of the other combat is in 3rd person. It makes me feel like I'm playing Grand Theft Halo. :roll:

It's fun, but it's not a Halo killer IMHO.

Damnnnn, it is nice! Really fun. Really well executed. And reaaaallllly purty. Some fantastic special effects. Bit of slowdown, but it doesn't detract from the quality of the title. This I shall be playing for some while :)
