So, who's got it? I'm not far into it so I'm not ready for Live play, but I have friends that are. Perhaps we can make this the be-all end-all PD thread here. Post arsenals, make challenges, etc.
One question I have, how the HELL do you beat that Piccato thing? I killed the top eye once but otherwise... argh.

I've been playing it a bit on and off--haven't taken it online yet, but I would like to once I get further into the offline mode first. Its been pretty fun so far. Definitely worth the price of admission. The Live functionality is just bonus!

I've had it for a little while now, but have never ventured onto live. I might be inclined if I know I'm not going to be playing with the normal live morons!! Maybe we can get a dp group together and have some fun!

man, if you don't have this game yet, nab it. It's incredible. I've been hooked on it for hours now!
EDIT: Hot damn... there's 300 different skills, and it tracks which ones you have, meaning you can essentially collect all the spells. *dies* It's like they morphed Magic:TG into what is almost an Action/RPG.
I <3 this game.

I've got it but I haven't played it in a few weeks. If my memory is correct, I got right up to the point where you get your own arsenal and can start accumulating skills to use.
As far as Picatto, is that the big fat floating thing about an hour or so into the game? I remember having a little difficulty with him at first, but I eventually found you have to wait until his weak spots are lined up with your shots so you can damage him.

PD player here, when I get around to it. Single player I'm just after the point where I have to fight Edgar and due to a poor drawing of powers I got my ass handed to me.
Live is pretty cool-I think depending on the session you join you don't necessarily need an arsenal. Sometimes I was playing against people with powers I didn't even unlock yet. I've met a few good players and added them to my Friends list. I haven't been on Live for a while, so if anyone sees WookieSpank (sp), toss a fireball at him for me, wouldya?
My main arsenal is currently fire and laser based (pretty much what you start with). My secondary arsenal is experimental, some "force" types and environmental attacks (like the whirlwind) but it hasn't been overly successful. I stink at constructing randomly generated "decks" (like in Magic: The Gathering) but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually.
Until I get my signature back, my Live tag is Yoshimite.

I don't have Xbox Live, but as I said in the previous Phantom Dust thread, I love this game because it's the closest experience to being a real psychic warrior. The battles have an epic feel to them almost like being Jean Grey/Marvel Girl in the X-Men comics or Marvel Boy/Vance Astro in the old New Warriors comics (Marvel fans will know who these people are).
I won't say this game isn't hard, though. I played the first boss level over 30+ times before I beat it, and there are certain single-player missions that I had to try again only after I had changed arsenals.
I think Microsoft really dropped the ball on this one here in North America, and for that reason, the game won't be enjoyed by as many people as it deserves.
BTW, my character's name is Beard, only because I have one.

I just had an online battle last night... got my ass handed to me as I only just got my arsenal.
The trade system is pretty funky, setup so that it's hard to twink a character using Live, but not bad overall.
I'm Mana Approved when I finally get good enough to stay online.

I guess I need to go get it. I keep looking at it every time I go to my local Game Crazy. The price is just right too.
