How many people are interested in a game that so far is out for only ONE system that you REALLY want but you're hoping that it comes out for a 'better' system?

In my case, I'm holding out hope that either Metal Gear Solid 3 and/or GTA: SA are announced for the XBox. I have nothing aganist my PS2 -- I have a dozen or so games for it -- but popular games like this normaly get ported to other systems and the XBox is so much better then the PS2 in almost every aspect.

GTA is scheduled for Xbox at the beginning of June. I've held off on getting it until then, too.

GTA is also comming for PC, will most likely look the best on PC.
But to the topic, not any games that I can think of. I think so to say all the new games are so boring :(

I'm this way w/ San Andreas, simply for the reason that I have the other two on Xbox already (and I'm a fan of continuity). Back when I just had a GameCube, I was this way for just about everything that came out on PS2 and Xbox (and alas, my waiting usually proved to be fairly pointless).

Not looking for anything new, but I wished Capcom could have re-released all those 2D fighters that didnt work right on the PS1 and put them on the PS2. Like Darkstalkers, Marvel Superheroes, Xmen VS Sf, Marvel Superheros Vs Sf, and so on.

Maybe another compilation is due.

I'm also waiting for San Andreas on xbox. I have the other two GTA's on ps2 but I've come to like my xbox more and never play my ps2 anymore. As far as Metal Gear Solid 3 on xbox goes it would be nice but I havn't heard about happening yet.

I keep hearing almost nothing but good things about Lumines on PSP, but I'm holding off on the new consoles for the time being.

I'm waiting for the Xbox2 to come out to get any of the games that are being developed for it along with the current-generation systems (this fall's EA Sports lineup for instance). I'll have to wait a few months for Madden 2006 but it will be worth it.

Will it be worth it? I'm not so sure. EA are developing their next set of sports titles to be released on current hardware and the Xbox 2. But, this kind of thing has been done in the past. And the new-gen counterpart has never lived up to expectations. They did it when the PS2 came out, and it was like having a tweaked PS1 copy.

If you already own an Xbox, like myself, don't pick up the Xbox2 on release. That's just my advice.

I'm waiting for price drops on the XBOX. I have some games, but ...

OutRun 2! I don't, no won't, buy a XBox for just one game. But how I want to play and experience OR2. My favorite arcade game gets a sequel and I will never play it. =(

Actually I'm thinking of buying the game now and holding on to it until I'm able to pick up a XBox for like $30 or $40.

Well if you're not going to play OutRun 2 just yet, then buy it a bit later on when the price has dropped if all it is going to do is sit on your shelf :)

And the Xbox is quite some way of yet from being 30-40. You're going to have a lot of waiting in store.

OutRun 2 really didn't appeal to me when I got it the day of release. But I gave it another stint last week and I really fell in love with it. Good stuff.

I wouldn't completely rule out MGS3 on the Xbox...

Although personally, I think that a compilation of:

MGS1
VR Missions
MGS2 Substance
Document of MGS2
MGS3 + new special features we don't have yet

Would make one HELL of an Xbox 360 launch title, at a very low dev cost to boot.

Microsoft isn't that bright, but I would buy the thing for that.

It'd be nice if they threw in the NES/MSX games, but they'd never do that....

Oh my GOSH yes. OutRun 2 is absolutely amazing, and it will be an Xbox exclusive forever, I believe. If I recall correctly, Sega wasn't going to port it to a home console, but Microsoft wanted it so badly that they cut them a really good deal on it. I picked it up for $15.00 new at EB, and have been nothing but super happy with it :)

The games that I really wish would come out for different consoles are off the wall: I really wish that Dog's Life and Mr. Mosquito would come out for something that wasn't just the PS2. Both of those games really, really appeal to me, but not enough for me to buy a PS2 right now.

I do think that the Xbox will eventually get MGS3. Heck, even the GameCube got a redone port of the original, so it doesn't seem like Konami is trying to keep that one a PS2 exclusive.
