I was just wondering if anyone else made smart (alec) remarks to video game charatcors while playing certain games. I found myself doing this a lot while playing Crash Nitro Kart for the Xbox. In example, during certain coments during the game (if you play the game, you can probably guess which one) I've said the following:
To Coco Bandicoot:
"But, Coco. How do you know how those stones feel?"
To Dr. Neo Cortex:
"D to the U to the M to the B" and
"Boom! Disadvantage, Cortex."
It seems that since voices were put into these games that I can't help making remarks about what's being said. Anyone else?

Yes, I am a hopeless geek and go all MST3K on cutscenes that I've seen a few too many times. I won't bore you with the particulars, but no, you are not alone.

Not that I'm calling you a hopeless geek, mind you. ;)

Oh yeah. I talk to my games all the time. LOL

Especily during RPG's. :D

Just recently when I was playing Star Ocean 3 and Xenosaga 2 I would often mumble to myself "So THAT's what is going on here", "You idiot! You just NOW realized that?!?" and "Oh man, I'm going to bust a gut laughing at that stupid girl!" :P

All the frigging time. I manage to mostly keep it to when I'm alone, in order that others not know the full extent of my madness.

For example, when Ocelot drops his gun off the edge of the cliff near the end of the game: "Dude. It's gone."

I only do it when they are really annoying or just pissing me off in general, in which case I mute the tv and then proceed to tell them to "talk now MFer!"

Indeed we did once spend an entire night playing 'Taxi 2 Le Jeu' on the Dreamcast and we did indeed MST3K the entire game as we had no idea what the plot was being that the game was entirely in french so we ended up with a mad tale of 'Pedro' the taxi driver on his mission to turn his car into a transformer so that he could save his pregnant girlfriend from a comedy copper. O..o It made perfect sence at the time. ^-^

I more talk sh%t to the games than make "smart alek" remarks. Examples:

To a boss:
"Oh, you liked that, didnt you? Why dont you come back and get some more? There you go, now your dead; how do you like that!?"

To space invader/galaga-type games:
"Oh, too slow. Missed me, sucka! So, the last one of your kind, hu? Weill just see how long that lasts."

To all video games:
"How do you expect to ever win if you keep doing the same thing over, and over again; every single time. Dont you realize that I'm gonna figure it out, loser?"

When I die:
"Oh, fu%k that! Everybody knows thats bullsh%t, you didnt hit me. Here I come again, bit%h!"

I'm constantly making smart ass remarks to game characters... usually lewd comments to things that weren't meant to be taken that way :P

That's me too, especially when I die. LOL

I do become witty now and then, but most of my quips are rage-fueled and rife with profanities. If I see that I'm gradually losing life and I anticipate death, I'm all like "Aw dangit" when I die. However, an extremely cheap and sudden death sets me off into "absolute balls-out psycho hyper P.O.'ed" mode.

And depending on what weapon I use, I'm like Strong Bad when he kills of the Teen Girl Squad. You know, like "SHOTGUNNED!" or "LIGHTSABER'D!" or even "FROZEN HALIBUT'D!". And then, of course, when someone's head explodes... YOUR HEAD A SPLODE. I say that every time I near the end of Bionic Commando. ;)

Triple Guilty as Charged, tis the electric chair for me.

The worst is when I am playing a tough boss sequence, and if I repeat it a lot, by the time I finally beat it, you can guarantee there will be some sort of jumping up in the chair, finger poiting at the on-screen corpse with me yelling, "WHO IS YOUR DADDY NOW, BEYOTCH!"

Don't even get me started on Burnout 3 opponents LOL

Whenever I'm faced against a gigantic boss of massive proportions, I'll usually mutter "That would be so COOL, if it wasn't gonna hurt me."

I really hate it when your playing a game and the bad guy uses a weapon for instance, the Goddess Spear of Destruction and you beat the boss get the weapon and it's more like the Toothpick of Infinite Uselessness.

and at that point I feel it is my privilige, nay, my right to scream at the game until I lose my voice.

Me and racing games with dumb or cheap A.I.

You wouldn't want to have been in the room with me just before I made the decision and popped Gran Turismo 4 back in it's case and marched it's ass back to the store for credit. Piece of shit. And yeah.....up until 4 I was a huge GT fan.  LOL LOL

I'm over it now. The console and game are out of my life.

Nope, I don't talk to my games, never have, never will.

The closest I get is screaming "awww fucking hell!" when I die at a crucial part and then twisting the controller in rage and throwing it on the floor

During a fast break dunk in ESPN NBA 2k5: "CHARLIE MURPHYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!"

I usually mimic the 2-player noises in Dr. Mario while playing, mainly to piss my friends off.

The only time I talk to games is when I yell at Non-playable characters in disgust. This usually happens in sports games and RPG's. If a computer controlled teammate does something stupid, or when an NPC in an RPG does something stupid (frequently), I'll yell "WHAT ARE YOU DOING???" at the stupid SOB.

I was swearing a blue streak at Mario during the pack-less levels in Super Mario Sunshine. Little bastard wouldn't listen. :)

Im just poking fun at this great game.

*having made fun, I would like to say I have nothing but respect for Ico and Yorda, this is all in good humor, I recommend the game to anyone who enjoys a good action/adventure/exploration/cooperation type game,

Actually words can't do this game justice, just go out and buy it.

Sometimes, I yell at my games, games like Bonestorm, but I always go back to my trusty ball on a paddle.

Usaully (almost all the time) when I don't get what I want when playing a game I call whoever is on the screen lued names or scream real loud "You Fucking Idiot!"

I advise. In fact, I bet I'm not the only one doing that. You can think of all sorts of different possibilities when playing Power Stone 2. ;)

Heh... not mine. Give credit to letsallgameon for that witty remark, which had me chuckling as well. I can't explain it, but toothpicks are funny. LOL
