Special Edition "Old Spice" Jaguar System?

I just picked up a free Jaguar and a few loose carts from the curbside (everything works!). The carts are nothing special from a collector's perspective, but I was surprised to get my hands on what is maybe a very rare item. Turns out the system is apparently a special edition promotion something like the Mountain Dew Xbox, only for Old Spice deodorant. I can't find any mention of it in the rarity guide or anywhere else, so I wonder if any you have ever heard of it. Hopefully, I've stumbled on to something highly collectible.

It looks more like someone took the stiker of a deodorant and put it over the System.

Why?

The Sticker does NOT fit the system at all. It has bubbles and cracks that shouldn't be there if it was real.

So IMHP it is just a regular Jaguar System with an Ol' Spice deodorant sticker and nothing more.

Still, do you want to sell it? I want a "endurance" system, I am selling my boxed bundle because I have both systems new sealed and want a regular system to play.

Yes..someone stuck a Dedodarant Sticker on it. It even has the Ingredients and UPC on the Old Spice Sticker still.

Still, a Jaguar's a Jaguar...and one for *FREE* is still a good deal. :-)

...even with a fugly Old Spice Sticker on it. XD

I have seen people do much much weird things to their consoles.

AND... just remember- special editions DO HAVE special features, f.E. The Coke Game Gear is red and with a legit Coke emblem, the Sonic Saturn has Sonic silhoutte on it and so on, or with special colors, or something. You just won't find a "Special Edition" that consist only about ripping a sticker and putting over the console.

Nevertheless, pretty funny. LOL

After taking a closer look at the system, I think you may be right. It does kind of look like a sticker, and I can see the bubbles and cracks, too, now that you point them out. It may be a manufacturing flaw, but it's most likely a custom modification or something. Still pretty cool. People are really talented when it comes to mods.

Anyway, I don't think I'll sell it. It may or may not be the collector's item I thought it was, but it's a cool addition to my pile of game crap.

Well my friend then you kiss goodbye all the fancy little print and logos over it. I just cannot make maskingtape inserts so tiny, you know. And if I sprayed the air inlets then you probably kiss your system goodbye as well- it WILL burn without refrigeration, you know ;)

I am working in a smaller mask for the "Sega Genesis" Logo and the round part that circles the cartridge, but I guess the Air inlet and the main control sections (where goes the reset/Volume/Power switches) will HAVE to remain in black unless you want to paint over them as well. x_x

Now Seriously, that Genny had a BAD crack in the shell, the kind that cannot be repaired only with Locktite. I had to use Epoxic putty- and you know they don't come in black, and light green doesn't convine with black. Tried to paint it in black with a regular permanent marker, didn't work. And when I tried to even the surfaces, it looked gray. So... My only chance was to paint it. And as a little sarcasm for current genetation consoles, I decided to have a silver Genny :D
