Anyone playing FF2 on Dawn of Souls?

Hey, I've had this game a while but didn't crank up FF2 untill recently. So far I've been playing and so far its ok... The problems I have with it is I don't see the point of ever using a weapon, fists are always stronger at the same level as any weapon I find. Also the low level monsters just never stop comming, and you don't get crap for killing them over and over. But I stuck trhough it and its getting better. But I still don't see why you would use weapons.

Soul of Rebirth is the bonus dungeon on FF2 Dawn of Souls.

I have Dawn of Souls but I haven't played FF 2 yet, and I probably will never get around to playing it either :/

I have it but I'm still playing FF I because I haven't beaten it so far. But this is a great game, only the difficulty level is a bit too easy. Anway, I use this thread to post my statts, would be nice if some others could to the same so we can compare our characters...

I'm on my way to complete the Fire Temple (extra dungeon) for the forth or fifth time, after this I'll head to face the end boss to complete the game. Even if I haven't finished all the extra dungeons.

Some of the extra caves got a little tideious to me and I stopped, I figured I wasn't gonna get anything better than the Elven cloak anyhow. That makes my white mage nearly unkillable, and he was the only one thats ever in danger, so .....

But yea, I think its too easy, plus they messed up the leveling scale, it consfused the mess outta me. I'm used to being a certain level at a certain point, but it seems you level at twice the rate, seeing as how you can be higher lvl.
