Wow - another person who actually knows this game! :) I have the coin-op, but it doesn't get a whole lot of play.

Bump N Jump is somewhat similar, if not superior to Rally Bike IMO.

I can't think of anything super similar but there are gameplay similarities to BMX Trial Alex Kidd which also is an overhead view bike obstacle race with ramps that send you into the air.

I play rally bike at least once every two weeks, it just relaxes me for some reason, are you sure Bump N Jump is better, I'll have to look it up...

just did a google image search and the game looks like it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, I sure hope the gameplay is real good :D

Yeah, it's a Japanese import though and requires the paddle controller(packaged with it). It's a cool game.

Nice find, I'll be sure to look it up somehow @_@, I remember a lot of NES games but I don't remember if they're any good or if they've stood the test of time? Too bad there is nothing similar on the genny or the snes :bawling:

I've never played the game. It looks just like a Bump & Jump. I liked that game, so if I ever see this I'll give it a try.

I'm such a huge fan of Rally Bike. It's probably the best thing to ever come outta Toaplan. I still fire up MAME regularly to play a game of it. I even picked up the NES version, which is an absolutely awful port.

To answer your question... there isn't any game that does Rally Bike better (that I know of). Bump 'n Jump, while a fun game in its own right, doesn't play a lot like it. But Rally Bike was definitely influenced by MotoRace USA/Zippy Race, an old Irem coin-op. Just like Rally Bike, it has you riding on a bike, and it scores you by your "rank" at the end of each race. I don't think it plays as well or has as much gameplay variety though.
