View Full Version : Any New Blockbuster-Only Games Lately?

I remember awhile back, some new XBox games were available from Blockbuster...they had a couple of Outlaw Golf titles (9 Holes of X-Mas and 9 More Holes of X-Mas) and one of Outlaw Volleyball (Red Hot) which seemed to be the same games but shorter and with new courses or venues. The Christmas-themed golf games were all snow-covered, of course...I had two of these games but finally won an Ebay auction of the first X-Mas golf game. I'm now wondering if there've been any others, especially of late? Since we had an Outlaw Golf 2 out, perhaps they came out with Outlaw Golf 2 Tuu-Tuus...where the golfers all wear ballerina outfits? :D

I think the 2 most recent ones were Freestyle Street Soccer (PS2, Xbox, GC...which then went to being sold everywhere I believe) and Cubix: Robots for Everyone (PS1, PS2, Xbox, GC).

I know the freestyle street soccer was suppose to be an exclusive BB Xbox title.
The GCN didn't have it marked on there and was also more expensive. I never saw a PS2 version.
As for the PS1 Cubix Robots for everyone i am pretty sure i have seen that at other stores.
I could be wrong.

I am almost positve that the Outlaw Volleyball: Red Hot and Freestyle Street Soccer were the last BlockBuster exclusives. Both of wich were exclusive to xbox.

As far as I know the Cubix for the PS was never a BB exclusive. I thought it came out well before the current gen ones.

I'm almost 100% sure PS1 cubix was not blockbuster exclusive. I distinctly remember buying it in a Toys R Us. Good lord, did that game ever suck. :/

Back in 1998 on holiday in the US, I picked up a PS1 game called "Eggs of Steel" that had the Blockbuster exclusive logo on it.. then a couple days later I saw it again without the logo in an EB for sale anyway..

Hmmmm...strange, I've never seen it anywhere else. Though I haven't exactly been looking for it ;)

I believe when we discussed this earlier that we came to the assumption that the non BB only copies came from Canada.

The next-gen, not the PS1, Cubix was BB-exclusive. Eggs of Steel was "pre-released" at Blockbuster exclusively. Kartia had the same deal.
