I searched but didn't find much regarding the rarity of this. Does anyone know the print run on this, or how uncommon it may become in the future?

well if you're looking for low print runs I'm sure the N-Gage version had the lowest

Know that most "limited edition" games that are run on high profile games like Splinter Cell: CT, Halo 2 or Doom 3 are still produced in greater quantity than most lower-profile games.

Buy them for the extra stuff but don't buy them for the rarity, you'll be very disappointed.

they're as common as the non-LE versions (at least in my area). My store received only the LE version for the PS2 & XB - 35 each

Yeah, just as common as the regular editions. However, I have had people tell me that the LEs are "unbelievably rare" and that stuff like the Doom 3 LE is already "impossible to find". Never believe people that hype stuff like that tho...

I don't know if it's quite as common as the regular edition...I know when I decided a few days after it's release to pick one up, I had to try about 4 stores before I found one with the Xbox version. I still see a few PS2 and GC LE's around, but none of the Xbox one.

The Doom 3 LE seems way easier to find, about everywhere I go has at least 5 copies, pretty much like Halo 2.

When SC:CT came out, I saw the LE versions on all the consoles everywhere...EXCEPT the Xbox version. I only saw that one for the first time a week or two ago, and now I see it fairly regularly. It was probably just a case of wrong place/wrong time, but for a while I thought it actually was going to be hard to find.

On a related note, I've heard that the limited of Jade Empire IS going to be fairly rare (and I heard this from someone whose information I trust). Can anyone else confirm or deny this?

Spotted three copies of the Gamestop limited RE4 tin still on sale today, and that's just about in the small area where Kris lives. And that's what, three months after it came out? So still possible to find stuff like that.

Having said that, I was going to hold off on buying Splinter Cell:CT but then found one place still had the limited set so I bought it anyways :P

Did a non-LE Jade Empire even see a release yet? All I have seen (albeit I've only looked at 2 or 3 stores) is the LE.

The regular edition hasn't even been released yet. They printed a TON of LEs. I'd say no way.

This reminds me of Unreal Tournament 2004 LE. How they could call that a Limited Edition and sleep at night is beyond me. Some LE games really are nothing special. The days where LE or CE actually meant something are long gone in my opinion.

LE's are still going to printed in the tens of thousands even if they do have significantly smaller runs than the regular editions. That's not rare at all. Any collector who wants a copy can get one.

Heck, it doesn't even take a collector. Any jackass can get one. LOL

What's silly is, they call these "Limited Editions." Every game is has a limited run. That's all there is to it. If I want Nintendo to run a quick print of 10000 or so Yoshi's Cookie for NES, too bad.

Also, I have a Limited Edition Yoshi's Cookie (NES, loose) for sale on eBay, but I'm not allowed to post it here. (Just kidding...)

Jade Empire Regular Edition has indeed been released. My local Best Buy had a couple dozen copies of the regular and about a dozen of the limited edition. However, I still don't see the LE becoming too much of a rarity.

Richter,
The LE of Jade Empire features a foil cover and says Limited edition right on the spine and under the games title on the front cover.

The LE Jade Empire also has some extra content, but I can't remember what.

I think the most limited recently released Ce game has to be RE4 since they were numbered and only 50,000 were printed, but like others have saidyou can still find them.

I would also imagine that he Growlanser Generations Deluxe Edition is also uncommon, since Working Designs is on is on the out, and there wasn't much public interest for the game to begin with.

JE LE comes with an extra character (not party member, but an extra character choice to start as), some artwork, demos & a making of. Havent seen any LEs, then again i havent been out much lately

Thanks for the input. I had thought it was pretty common, but all of the outrageous ebay stuff gave me some doubts.

Probably one of the rarest versions of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is the "Media Review Pack (Not for sale)" for N-Gage. It has the game, a mini disc with info and pics for the press and a pack of cards inside a bigger box. The extras are very nice too, a handbag, a towel and a t-shirt of N-Gage.
