If I needed to find a cable for a system I'd make a post (or edit an existing one) in the buying and selling forum. You know there are people on these boards that have a ton of excess cables from broken systems and such. :)

It all depends on what model you have. Power cords are super easy to come by and I am almost sure a generic one can be purchased at radio shack. And the original console used a 6-tail RCA cable, which also can be purchased at radio shack. The 2nd model used a 3-tail cable, which I think would be harder to find at gamestop, because they usually package all original cables with the system.. PSOne stuff is still floating around in some stores! Replacement parts also can be found pretty easilly at gamestop, EB, and the like. Also, I agree with the above posters, post in the B/S forum if you really need some, I am sure there are people here that have spare cords.

I've got the PSX model 1001, with the 3 RCA video outputs on the back. However it's also got the standard A/V multi-out port, and thus will work fine with any PS2 composite and s-video cables. It's not compatible with component video, however. The PS2 power cable is also fully compatible.

SCPH-1000 has S-video socket at the back as well.
Sadly it onlt released in Japan and ith US/EU release the S-video out was removed... :(
if you can find SCPH-1000 you will get the best possible picture quality short of RGB cable...
