View Full Version : Those Games You Almost Completed

I tried my hand at the last event on Super Smash Bros. Melee that I need to complete to finish the entire game again last night, and I just can't friggin' do it. It leaves me bitter and twisted, I can tell you.

I buy a lot of games. I probably have a genuine interest in less than 50% of those games. That's just a random number I've plucked to give you an idea. Of those games, I probably want to complete 10%.

Now, of those 10%, I actually dilgently sit down and complete about 5%. Half-Life 2 was the last game I completed, which gives you some idea of what I'm going on about (6 months old, now). Burnout 3 I've almost finished. I'm going to set out on Resident Evil 4 next. But the number of games I've come within a whisker of completing is frightening. And annoying.

Smash Bros. Melee is just one of the games I'm just *minutes* away from completing. I have unlocked every character bar two. And from what I read about 6 months ago, unlocking one unlocks the other. And to unlock this one character, I just have to finish this last event. And I've been playing this last event on and off for the last 6 months.

My god, does that annoy me. So, guys, what games have you come within touching distance of finishing?

I've had a save game on SNES Zelda just outside the last dungeon for about 7 years now. Got killed by Ganon a couple of times back-in-the-day and then it somehow got side-lined. Never found the time to properly go back to it. One of these days...

The game that itches me the most is Final Fantasy 7 for the PS1. I'm at the last endboss and I wasn't able to beat it so far. It's been ages since I've last played the game but as much as I remember I didn't find the right strategy to beat the boss. Maybe my characters weren't leveld-up enough, but I didn't have problems with other enemies and I also managed to beat one of the weapons. I'm thinking for replaying the whole game but somehow I couldn't motivate myself to do so. Maybe I'll just peak in one of the online-guides and fight the sucker again.

An interesting idea for a topic. I have a friend who gets to the last 10 percent of a game, and quits. He does this for nearly every game he has, and he has no excuse. No reason at all. He just gets interested in something else, and it drives me crazy.

For instance, he is at the part of Prince of Persia (NO SPOILERS) where you climb up that very very tall face of a building toward the end. The game is so terrific at that point, I just can't imagine quitting for good.

A game I never finished, for shame for shame, is Super Mario Brothers. I feel that if I were to beat it, I would be done with video games at this point, so I don't.

It was my secret shame as a kid, when all my friends had beaten it, I had gotten stuck on the final castle (8-4) and had simply not beaten it. I think I may have finished the game with Super Mario Brothers Deluxe, which may or may not really count, but I've never slapped the combo SMB/Duck Hunt into an old toaster and beaten it.

That aside, a more recent game I've given up on is Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. A great game, despite it's lame angsty new prince, (NO SPOILERS ahead) I was bested in the final encounter, and just quit. I wasn't going to sit and fight the damn boss 20 times. I went ahead and watched the ending movie on my computer and let it go. Oh well.

Interesting to hear about Link to the Past, from an earlier post. I can't imagine just letting that one go. I mean, SMB is bad, too, but at least I can't save in that game. :)

I've got a number of games sitting at just that point. Burnout 3: Takedown, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Viewtiful Joe are the ones that immediately come to mind.

It seems to me that I never had this problem when I was a kid. Which leads me to question what happens when you get older? Loss of attention span? Lack of skill? Or just couldn't care enough to push that extra step and finish?

I don't mind needing to spend a lot of work to complete a game. Give me a lot of stuff to do, a lot of collectibles or unlockables, that's fine. It's when you power your way to the finish line, only to find that somebody slapped up a brick wall there that you have to spend more time trying to get through than you did the whole race to that point.

Viewtiful Joe was a good call. I got bored of that toward the end. Which angered me... again.

I have to agree, though, 10 years ago I never had this problem. Now, well, now I just find games get tiresome toward the end and my interest fades and I find myself puting my time to better use.

The Phantasy Star 2 selection on my copy Phanatasy Star Collection for GBA has been sitting unfinished for over a year now. I got all the way to the final fight, but am incapable of winning because I don't have the group replenishment items necessary to pull that off. The reason I don't have those is because I never took the thief out with me and so she remains inadequately levelled up to acquire these items :frustrated:, and I really don't feel like sitting though dozens of wandering monster fights waiting for this to happen.

Anybody know a way I can speed up the levelling? Game Shark or something like that?

It's a bit off topic I know exactly what you mean. The older I get the less patience I have to sit trough difficult passages in videogames. It also worries me when I play games in which I can't save anytime or in which I have only few savepoints. As if it would be the end of the world when I lose half an hour of the game when I die, but still, it worries me... Strange thing, I wonder if it's because of the new games (because there are some games that don't worry me at all, and most of them are older) or just because I get old.

Resident Evil is a classic example of the save philosophy. It always stopped me from REALLY getting into the series. I'm a huge RE fan but I could have enjoyed them so much more with a more regular and casual save system.

Perhaps 10 years ago it wouldn't have been a problem, but now, for me, it just detracts from my enjoyment. I'm always thinking: "I've got 20 minutes, shall I play Resident Evil? Oh, wait, best not." It becomes more of a time management project than an exercise in having fun :S

I never quite finished Star Ocean 2, pissed me off because I had a bazillion hrs into it and lost the save.

I acquired another copy, and am debating starting again, but that's quite a committment.

In recent month :

- Tales of Symphonia : got pretty far into it and after 25 hours it just died down for me. I was bored with battles and things... I wanted it to end.
- POP : Warrior Within : meh - went all the way till the final battle, tried many, many, many times to beat the Empress and then I gave up.
- Zelda Windwaker - too much traval by boat - I gave up after 20 hours.

Sonic Adventure 2.

got to the last knuckles stage where you have to climb up the inside of something. I quit because the camera sucked so bad, and I hated playing the Knuckles levels.

I had this problem with Final Fantasy X about a year ago. I got it when it was first released and played through the whole thing in about a week. Up until the final boss things were going well. What I failed to do was extra leveling up. I got to the final boss and got owned. Tried it probably 5 or 6 times that day and couldn't beat it. Next day tried 3 or 4. So on and so forth until I put it away frustrated beyond all reason. Jump forward to 2004 and it's a hot summer day and I want to play something. So I pull Final Fantasy X out and what do I do, I beat the game on the damn first try! *grrr* So, in the end, persistence will pay off. It just takes a LONG time.

My biggest example is PS1 Xenogears.. a 2 disc game by Square, acclaimed in some quarters, and I have to say I really enjoyed it, but... ... well ... some ... of the ... OK ... practically ... all ... of the ... dialog ... ... is incredibly ... drawn ... out ... and the second disc is more cut scene than game.

I plod through all of it, do reasonably well, finish the final dungeon just before the boss fight (in a couple hours), and then find out that I'm way under-levelled. I just got narked off completely and left the save there - this was about 3 years ago :)

If end bosses are really going to require that much levelling, the game should provide enough through standard play, not deliberately having to run around in circles for hours and hours on end getting into pointless wanky battles.

There's a long list of games (Wild Arms 1 and 3, Parasite Eve 2, Super Mario Brothers Deluxe - damn world 7! damn it to hell!, etc) where I've gotten half way through and left them from lack of interest - not that they're complete crap or anything, just that they cross the line into "time spent better elsewhere that's more fun" territory.

Maybe that's part of the problem for collectors.. when you have so many games, it's far too easy to be less determined and move on to something else from the shelves when even slightly inconvenienced by a game.

And to cap it off, my personal shame: I can't get past "Prisons of the Maw" in Rogue Leader on Gamecube.. it's like 4 missions in, what's wrong with me? I tried a dozen times, snapped, and got cheats to unlock everything. How cool's that Endor battle mission at the end?

It seems to me that I never had this problem when I was a kid. Which leads me to question what happens when you get older? Loss of attention span? Lack of skill? Or just couldn't care enough to push that extra step and finish?

I think there are two things that happen, at least with me:

1) I have a real job now, so I have money for games. When I was younger, I had 50 Atari 2600 games and 10 NES games. I would buy maybe five NES games a year. Now, if I don't get five a month it has been a slow month.

2) Responsibility. It used to be that I just had to mow the lawn once in a while and take out the trash when it got full. Now, I have to vacuum the apartment, do the dishes, do the wash, etc. And I'm going to move to a house in a month where the responsibility will quadruple!

Now, for those games with me:

Headhunter (DC) - Loved it. Played the whole thing in about a week about two years ago... except I got to the final area, saved and didn't go back until Headhunter: Redemption came out. It took me five minutes to beat the game.

Grandia II (DC) - I wanted to finish beating this game, but it seems my Dreamcast no longer likes the disc. I am at the final boss battle, but I can't get the stupid game to load anymore :(

Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy (Xbox) - I played through this game a ton and I really enjoyed it back when I only had like five games for my Xbox. I liked it so much, I decided to pick up some more... and some more... and I suddenly had a bunch of games and it had been pushed to the side. I tried firing it up recently (I have to be near to the end now) but I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing any more, and I haven't read through a walkthrough to figure it out.

Maximum Carnage (Genesis / SNES) - I love this game, and was playing through it for the million and fifth time and I finally got to the end battle and won! The credits rolled, and I put down the controller to get dressed while they did (I tend to play in the mornings after my wife has left for work but before I do.) All of a sudden, Carnage hops back out and before I could grab the controller, I was dead... Damn it all. I could've beat him too. Since then, I haven't cared to try it again. Too painful, I guess ;)

Startlying Odyssey on the PC-Engine. I played it and got to a part where I just got freakin' schooled. No way around it. I assumed that I needed an item to make the fight winnable, but had no clue where to look, so gave up. That was a lot of time wasted too. :(

Popful Mail on PC-E, MCD, and SFC. I've started all three versions of these, getting several hours into them, and for some reason or another, never finished a single one.

Dont think the empress is the last boss. I've beaten the empress (isnt that hard acctualy when you get a good "rhytm". Altho, I gave up on the dragon boss after the empress, too hard and it generate life so its damn hard.

Also the last boss on Project Altered Beast for PS2, tried a couple of times on the 3rd wave on the boss, very hard to hit it then. Havnt beaten it yet, but probly will try some more times in the nearest future.

You can also unlock characters by logging in so many hours and matches in VS mode. That's how I unlocked them all. I know I certainly didn't finish every Event Battle. LOL

If completed you mean reaching and defeating the final boss, then yes, there are a few games I still have to do that with. If you mean by collecting every single item and unlocking every single feature... I gave up trying to do that long ago. I just don't have the time or patience to get a perfect 100% on games anymore. If I can, great. But if it takes the fun out of the game trying to do so, I just don't bother.

Final Fantasy X. I've made it to the part where you have to walk through the snow and find Seymour on the cliff. He turns into the big guy with the little guy healing him. I've tried everything. I got all my Aeons into Overdrive before the fight. I summon an Aeon and hit him with my Overdrive then he hits my Aeon with Banish. Then I summon another Aeon, hit him with it's Overdive and Seymour hits me with Banish again. I do that until I run out of living Aeons. Then I try to kill the little guy but Seymour always hits me with Half Life (I think thats what its called) with the two blades and kills everybody in my party. Game Over.
Ive been stuck there for years. I pick it up and try to beat it again but after a few hours, I give up again.

Dead to Rights (XBX) - cannot beat the guy who you have to steal the gas mask off. Tried thirty plus times, sworn a lot and almost bust a hernia.

Well, I consider some games only completed when I've unlocked and completed everything. Erm, Super Smash or Burnout 3 for example. But other games, say Sonic, I consider completed when I get to the end. Emeralds or not. All endings or not.

Halo 1. Any game that doesn't save after an extremely tiring and long level causing me to play the level over and over doesn't deserve my time anymore.

Vexx. The final boss is IMPOSSIBLE. Other than that, I've pretty much gotten everything I can in the game.

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. I'll never be able to touch the boss.

Metroid Prime. Just haven't gotten around to putting any effort into getting to the final boss to beat it. At least I got passed MetaRidley.

Perfect Dark: Got to the final boss. But the first time, I didn't know what to do. Then after I found out what to do to beat him, I couldn't get back to him again. It's put on hold.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Up to the final boss. Not leveled up enough. Will try later.

Mario vs. DK. Almost! But it's getting too hard for my own good.

All four Crash Bandicoot's and the first Spyro. Fun, but too hard.

I have a few games were I am stuck on the last level, or even the last freaking boss! In Castlevania I can't get past the room in the last level, where Egors are getting dropped all over the place. I can't beat the 2nd form of the last boss in Ninja Gaiden 3.

Where to begin, it's not that the games don't hold my interest but if i do not play them regularly i basically forget about them and move on to the next brand new thing. Viewtiful Joe, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, Super Mario Sunshine. Those are the major ones of course there is some older stuff that i hav'nt beat but i won't bother to list those.

Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus (which could have been, but thankfully wasn't, called Oddworld 2)

I might sound like a really bad player for this (possibly), but I got RIGHT to the end of Lunar 2 and couldn't make it past the final boss because of my lack of MP.

So basically, 45+ hours and I can't go any further. I'd have to start completely over (or just pick up from one of my other saves, as I DID start another game, it's about 25 hours in or so).

But I'll definately second (Third? Fourth?) Viewtiful Joe. I just can't get any further. Stoopid "beat the bosses again" section...

I mainly play RPGs... and stopping at the end is like not finishing a 600 page novel when you're on page 550.

That being said, I never finished of Skies of Arcadia even though I'm right at the end. I got to that point and then found out about the Legends GC version. I stopped because if I finished the game, I knew that it would take a lot for me to go back through it (I rarely replay RPGs), but if I didn't finish it, there would be more incentive to play the Legends version.

Still need to do that. :(

This is why I actually play so few games. If I start one, I'm damn well going to finish it. Nobody destroys the earth on my watch!

If I'm going to start a game, I'm going to see it through to the bitter end. After all, I'd hate to stop right before the best part. Couple this with my penchant for horrible games and you begin to see the depth of my depravity.

That being said, I also don't generally clean out every insane unlockable or play through on Nightmare difficutlty (normal will suffice for me thank you). On my trip through Super Smash Bros Melee, I unlocked most the the characters and called it a day. Sometimes I'll also start a game and play for a few minutes and decide its not the type of thing I'm in the mood for and put it back on the shelf. So its not like every game I play is beaten.

Throughout the years, there have been a few exceptions and those are listed below.

Snake Rattle and Roll - The number of crazy, unfathomable isometric death leaps in that game is astronomical. Someday maybe I'll try and finish it, but it still gives me nightmares.

AD&D Iron and Blood - My scratched up copy hangs while loading the final boss. This also happended in Disruptor, but I got a clean copy and beat that one. Don't think you've won Strad, your day will come!

Final Fantasy 8 - I don't use faqs and never really got the hang on the draw system so I got to the last disk and got stuck on a boss with an unwinable party/power configuration. And no way back to random battle land. I'll probably pop it in again some day, but just thinking about it makes me weary.

Battletoads - Oh wait, I beat Battletoads! :D

Man, this happens to me a lot more than I'd care for it to happen.

Most recently was The Mark of Kri, where I made it all the way up to the last boss and just quit playing because I hated the final boss design/structure. Hell, the whole last level wore on my patience, but then being thrown into that battle...meh. I count the game as beaten though...I have no desire to finish it off and I've seen all it has to offer :(

Ape Escape 2 was nowhere near as solid as the first game, sadly. I ended up quitting towards the end and never going back to it. Doubt I ever will. What a disappointment :(

Megaman Legends was a really fine game, but the last boss pissed me off enough that I lost the will to beat the game.

Deep Fear. Really, by the end of the game I had just had enough of the D-list voice acting that made Resident Evil look like Grade A work and the high school student-quality cinemas. Running with your gun drawn was a great innovation, but beyond that the game really was lacking.

Another vote for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. Those Knuckles stages sure seemed a hell of a lot more fun 5 years ago, but oh my god are they painfully tedious and unfun now. Strip the game down to just Sonic/Shadow levels and you'd have an infinitly better game. :(

I had totally forgotten about that one. The last fight with your shadow or whatever just totally put me off and I never bothered going back to finish it. Probably didn't help that the entire journey up to that point just felt kind of disappointing. :(

It's not that I thought the game was bad or anything, but I really expected more from it :(

I just recently beat Paper Mario: TTYD and I'm proud of myself for finishing a game. It doesn't happen often anymore. I've played Final Fantasy X on and off, but I just keep on stopping. I beat Zelda: Oracle of Ages and I used to password over to Seasons, but I never finished it. For the Genesis, I got one battle away from the final on Shining Force and I never finished it. I never finished Zelda: Links Awakening DX although I'm right at the end. Fire Emblam on the GBA is another one I let slip, as is Advance Wars 2. I beat the first 3 .hack games, but I have yet to pick up the last one.

I'm not sure what it is, but finishing games is hard for me. It might be something along the lines of that I've such a good time playing the game that I don't want it to end. Its always a stupid quirk I've had. I hate it when good things end. There are few things in this world that you can have control over in that aspect, but games are one of them. With Paper Mario 2 even, I knew I'd have a lot more to go with all the things to collect (strangely enough I'm a complete freak). As an example, I just let Zelda: Wind Waker and Majoras Mask linger on the final boss for the longest time. Then one day, when I had some free time, I just sat down and beat them (actually two days in a row. close enough). It felt more like a chore, but I felt great when they were done. I'm just wierd like this I guess.

Viewtiful joe, I think playing it on the hardest mode was my first mistake, saving it to a cheap memory card was my second. I remember struggeling on every bos, then I got to a point where you had to fight them all in a row. Around then my memory card died and i lost the save :(

Eternal Darkness. Got all the way to the last bos and just had nothing for him he was just to fast. Could get maybe 2 hits on him tops. Also I the save file with viewtiful joes just really don't feel like going back. Eternal Darkness was so hard in some places.

Lunar (I can't remember the title, but it came in a box and came with a pretty cool pendant) There was this really tough boss, and my team wasn't strong enough to beat it. And I saved at a point in the game where you can't build up your characters. So I was screwed.

I got to the final boss battle in Super Mario RPG, and I couldn't win. That was 1999. I haven't touched the game since. It also killed my interest in turn-based and strategy-based RPGs. Now I'm all about action games.

Funny story to go with Mario RPG, though. I got it new at Toys R Us on the cheap. I wanted to go home and play it right away, but my parents wanted to get ice cream. I was complaining about having to stop for ice cream. My dad said, "I've never met a kid who would turn down free ice cream before."

Mario Party 2, the only thing I need to do is the hard roller coaster. And Mario Kart Double Dash!!, I just need to unlock two more cars.

In recent month :

- Tales of Symphonia : got pretty far into it and after 25 hours it just died down for me. I was bored with battles and things... I wanted it to end.

i'll second that. i'm about halfway through the second disc at got so incredibly bored with it i just stopped playing. i don't see why so many people talked it up so much.

I can't almost complete a game. I either love a game and beat it in like a week, or I play it for a few days then throw it on the shelf. If it counts there are tons of Activision 2600 games I get really close to getting 'patch score' and keep falling short, over and over.

There are three games that come into my mind when I read the topic title:

Champions Of Norrath: I'm at the end but I can't beat the last boss!

Ratchet & Clank: It's been some time since I've played this game but I'm in one of the last levels.

Final Fantasy 7: I'm also at the last boss here, wasn't able to beat it but I guess I've just used the wrong strategy. Need to try it again but I'm too lazy...

Final Fantasy VIII - up to the first battle on the final disc. I just cannot do it - I don't think I'm levelled up enough. Which is incredibly annoying as I love this game, I want to see the ending. >.<

Super Smash Bros. Melee - Got about 90% of the trophies and done 50 of 51 Event Matches. This one bothers me less though.

Burnout 2 - Point of Impact - Got all golds except for one.

Project Gotham Racing - Beat everything, only to find I hadn't done many medal challenges. And they're completely IMPOSSIBLE.

Now I'm all about action games.I had to resort to an emulator and many many freezes and defrosts to beat that game. Maybe one day I can sit down and beat it correctly.

I never finished FFVII. Only reason I mention it is that I'm actually playing from the start right now to try to beat it.

I'm a little surprised to be hearing SO2 a few times. I do remember that it took me a while to beat the final boss the first time, before I learned about customizing equipment and where to get some of the cool items.

Now, I can probably beat it from start to finish in one sitting, if I play all day. Damn, I've played that game too many times.

Anyway, I have a couple where I've gotten really, really close and never finished.

Shining Force - The original one. I've gotten almost all the way to the end about three times, before I lose interest and just can't play anymore. The fact that the battle system is completely archaic and mindless by today's standards doesn't help much. It's still a good game though. The first Genesis game I fell in love with besides Sonic. I don't know if I'll ever beat it.

Final Fantasy Legend II - This game is something else. It was my favorite Gameboy game for a very long time, and it's also friggin HARD! Still, I was persistent. I restarted my game goodness knows how many times. A lot. And each time I'd make it just a little further. I remember I got stuck on Venus in two games. The next game I got stuck on Odin. Finally, I beat Odin and got slaughtered by Apollo, who I believe is the final boss.

FFL2 is just a bewildering game. Perhaps I need to play it again with the aid of a walkthrough or something, but I don't know if I have the patience to play it again, even though I haven't touched it in probably eight years. Maybe it's just me, but it was probably the most challenging RPG I've ever played.

Final Fantasy 3 is one of of my favorite games but i've never actually beaten it. I loved the game but the last part(kefka's tower) always seemed like too much of a pain in the ass to get through. Maybe some day i'll finish it after some more leveling.

Recently i've been playing a lot of Galaga '90, another one of my favorites. I've gotten a lot better at it and I think i'm pretty close to the end. I've gotten to stage 24,though I don't know how many stages there are.

Ninja Gaiden - second form of the last boss, really hard
Snake rattle n' Roll - get to the moon
Vice project Doom - last boss, too tough
Mega Man and Bass King form 2
Breath of Fire III IV last bosses and lost interest
Tecmo Secret of the Stars, last boss lost interest
there is many more too.

Rollercoaster for the ZX Spectrum.

I loved that game when I was like 6 or 7 years old. There was this one thing I couldnt quite manage to collect (was it money bags you collected in that game?) and it was the last one. I played that game for soooo long trying. I really should get an emu and try again for old times sake :D

I have my Phantasy Star cartridge for my SMS that I bought back in '88. Still have it. Never beat it. 2 other friends used to come over and play this game with me on weekends. Then one of them moved, after that, we bacame obsessed with R-Type. PS was shelved.

More recently, Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox has finally been sidelined. I've been playting it for months. It just gets too frustrating.

I've gotten close to the end(and stopped) of a few games, mostly pc point-and-click adventure games. In Touche': The 5th musketeer my computer froze up in the ending cutscene. In the Dig it froze up in the ending cutscene as well. In the Neverhood I could never get that last puzzle right (the one with the symbols and sounds. In Loom I forgot to write down that important spell that the loom echoes in the beginning of the game. Lastly, in Banjo-Kazooie it was impossible for me to get 500 music notes(to get into click clock woods) for some reason. :/

I could never finish Rockman and Forte on SFC; in the end part you have to fight all the bosses again, one after the other with no rest between.

Currently I can't beat the final boss of Metroid Prime 2, my hands are not quick enough!

The only game I have ever actually stopped playing before the end was Kingdom Hearts. I loved that game, but I finished Sora's Shadow off for the second time and just got bored with it. I should probably try to finish it...

Spyhunter (PS2) - I'm on the last level. I've tried it at least 20 times and I almost always get blown up near the end. Haven't tried my luck at it for at least a year.

Midnight Club (PS2) - I'm on the last guy, or maybe the second to last guy, can't remember which. I can't even keep up with the guy to challenge him to a race. I don't even remember the last time I tried.

Burnout 3: Takedown (PS2) - Just a few more races and crash junctions to complete.

Ford Racing 2 (PS2) - Got through everything except the Stock Car racing, which was too frustrating.

Gekioh: Shooting King (PSX) - It's not too hard to get through everything and to the final boss, but it seems almost impossible to beat it. I still have yet to do so.

Grand Theft Auto 2 (PSX) - I'm in the last area.

Spanky's Quest (SNES) - Can't beat the final boss.

Mega Man X (SNES) - Can't get through the final level, and I lost the password a year or so back. One of these days I'll get it off of GameFAQs or something so I can try again.

Sonic 2 (Genesis) - Can't beat the final boss.

Diddy Kong Racing (N64) - Since it's been a few years since the last time I played the game, I don't remember exactly where I was. But I know I was pretty close to the end.

Street Racing Syndicate (Gamecube) - I believe I'm either on the last or second to last tournament. I put it off a couple months ago to play some other games, but I plan to come back to it soon.

For some reason every time I get deeply involved and heavily progress through a challenging game, I quit when it gets near the end of the game. I don't know if it's because I don't want the game to end. or I just get bored of it. Recently I quit FF7, shadowrun for SNES, flashback for SNES, arkanoid doh it again for SNES. and a few others........

I've come so close to beating Zelda II: Adventures of Link many times...but I've never been able to beat it. Man, that game is tough!
