I'm tempted to grab a copy so I'll have something new on the DS, but I may just wait for the PSP version.

I am picking up a copy, for my girlfriend and her DS though.

I used to have Puyo Pop for the GBA, but I no longer do. It's ok, but it's not my favorite puzzle series.
Anyway, I find that you've played one incarnation of it (be it known as Puyo Puyo or as Mean Bean Machine), you've played them all. Of course, that's just my opinion and I know others are quite fond of this series.
Personally, I'm more of a Tetris/Dr. Mario kinda girl.

Computer versus mode used to frustrate the hell out of me. The CPU is very good at combacks!

I got the Japanese version a few months back as that version detects the DS language setting and changes a la Neo Geo depending on what you have. So it's all in English for me :)
PS. We are now at 300,000 posts in this forum! :D

I know that I will buy this game eventually, I just don't know when. I already have at least 4 incarnations of Puyo*, both for portable systems, and home systems.
Additionally, I just picked up Polarium for the DS. Solid portable gaming goodness. Well worth the $30 price tag. If you enjoy puzzlers, especially ones that really make you think, buy this game!

Yeah, Puyo's a great Tetris clone. I may pick up a GBA version of it or a Game Axe (or other portable clone) to play my FC cart version. Let me know if it plays well on the DS. :)

This version looks quite good, but being the cheapass that I am, I think I'll wait until it hits that magical price of $19.99. Hopefully it and polarium will drop as fast as zoo keeper did.

Did the game get delayed until 5/3?? I've also been looking forward to this puzzler, and now a delay without any advance notice? It's not listed anywhere on Best Buy's website, and on ebGames it has the release listed as 5/3.

yup it was delayed.....sometimes I think they just like to torture us, but the reason I believe is becuase they did not want to release the game so close to pac pix, as I remember nintendo didnt want ds games to be released too close together (i read this somewhere). Im not upset as I can live without the game for another week, I played some mean bean machine lastnight and boy did it feel weird compared to playing lumines on psp, i basicaly had to relearn the whole game :(
