Hey Everyone, Guild wars was released today, basically a free mmorpg which the beta last year was great, and I just picked up the collectors edition today, what are your guys thoughts on it?

has anyone else picked it up? or thinking about it? I picked it up because it's basically from alot of guys that made blizzard games, as well as it wasn't all that bad when I played it last year.

o and on another unrelated note is it worthwhile to pay 30 bucks for final fantasy 2 loose? I did today and don't regret it but pissed because the store was thinking off of ebay prices.

anyway sorry but yeah just wanted to see who all was interested in guild wars

Glad to hear you like your purchases. My thought on the loose FF2...if you're thrifting, well, unless you're very dedicated with it you might not be able to find Final Fantasy games before somebody recognizes the brand and snatches it up. On the other hand, spending $30 for loose SNES carts won't take your collection very far. Digital Press does have the handy online rarity guide to help you in these decisions - check that out.

o of course, the online guide is helpful but i checked my advance guide and it's good and everything but true enough. it's a brand thing im glad i got it, so it makes it all good.

Yeah, the main thing is to know when to just shell out the cash...and remember not to the rest of the time :P

Is this thing open for business right now? The last movie says "April 28th."

I've kept an eye on this one for a while, but haven't been able to make it to any of their Beta days. I'd also be interested in hearing peoples' impressions on the game. I'm not sure it's going to be worth the $50 they're asking at launch, but this looks like it's certainly worth $30 or so later on.

Those pre-order things look kind of cool, and the collector's edition has some interesting items. Doesn't look like any game news sites have a review of this thing up yet, so I'm eager to hear what everyone thinks.

I am enjoying it so far, no crashes or anything. Everyone who preorders gets to start early and there seems to be a lot of people running around already.

On another note: Eveyone who preorders gets a bonus item only available through the pre-orders. Multiple items can be had if you use the codes from the different stores pre order boxes. I currently have an extra code for both the EB and Gamestop preorders if anyone has an extra code from any other store, I would like to check out the other exclusives while I can.

The Gamestop code gets you a melee weapon while the EB code gets you an enhanced bow.

I picked up Guild Wars and posted about it in another thread without knowing that this one was already created. I have to say, it's one gorgeous looking game. I think its going to end up being one of those games thats as addictive as crack.

I went to a LAN yesterday, and they had this on play for a free hour, so I had to check it out.

Long story short, I'm going to buy this game, because it rules.
