Anyone interested in a mint PAL copy of Primal Rage (32X)?
Currently have an offer of 250 euro. (I know I know @_@ )
It's rare as hens teeth so I'd like to know if anyone is
willing to pay more than that for it.

Holy shit! :eek 2:
I'd grab that in a second if I could possibly afford it - €250 seems pretty reasonable considering that's only the second copy I've ever heard of (unless it's the same one Arrhalomynn used to own?)

Hmm I thinking about ebaying this one. Those Saturn
JAP imports won't pay for themselves so I want squeeze
this.
I want to place it on Ebay.co.uk (for obvious reasons)
so if anyone from the UK with a good (preferably 100% positive seller auccount, above 25) wants to make 5-10% of the final price. (depending on how much it ends) P.M. me.
You must have paypal and you must be willing to receive it(from me) and ship out the item in an apropriate way. Only
DP & Ebay regulars.

oh man, i wish i had the money right now....
what's really interesting is this...
how did you obtain your copy??
you are from the Netherlands, just like Mark who owned the only other copy i know of, so maybe it was actually released in the NL instead of the UK??

I think they came for the UK, I once could get a copy from Telegames a long time ago. Oh and Mark sold his Primal Rage to someone else.

Did you ever see it in the flesh? Telegames are notorious for listing games they don't really have - 32X Primal Rage is still listed on their website today, but I'd be surprised if they ever actually had any.
And if you try ordering it, chances are you'll end up with a US copy and then have an absolute nightmare trying to get any money back from them.
Oh and Mark sold his Primal Rage to someone else.
Yeah, I thought he did - that's why I asked if this one was the same copy.

I need to fix some money as I just bought Syndicate for Mega-CD today from eBay. (Ok in fact it was a loose Megadrive II with 32X and Mega-CD II missing the cables with some games (32X: NBA and WWF, 32X CD: Supreme Warrior, Slam City and Corpse Killer, MCD: Syndicate, Double Switch, Spider-Man, Wolfchild, and of course Road Avenger,). That also cost me already 175 euro, but I think I will start selling some more stuff to get this beauty.Think I will put my Euro-version of Stack-Up on eBay as well to get some cash, Think it's also a real rarity as I only know one other collector who has that game complete with everything, it's the same person also owning the other Primal Rage 32X.

I don't think it was released in the Netherlands, as I never saw a single copy, I owned the 32X also back then and was really waiting for new games. Last game I found in stores was Kolibri and back then I called all stores to inform about if they could get any new games for the system.

Ah, y'all are taunting me now with your cryptic hush-hush talk about where this thing came from!
Fine! I didn't want to be in your gang anyway :P
And I also get to see the person who outbid me on that 32X/CD/MD lot a few days ago. Well, one of them ... a word of advice for your future bids though - don't bid round numbers! If Castlevania4ever had bid 1 Euro more, he would have won that auction and you would have been kicking yourself!!
Anyway ... I shall pass on the link for the Primal Rage auction to an avid collector friend of mine. He told me that he was selling up his 32X stuff, but I believe that was largely in a fit of pique at not being able to locate a copy of this game and thus acquire a complete collection. He's a bit of a completist at heart.

Yeah, I caught a right roasting over there for the "2 known copies"/"never on eBay" claims.
There's that suspicious sealed one, and apparently Kron got one on eBay a couple of years ago. Still waiting for any solid details, though Kron doesn't seem the type to bullshit. Love to know how it slipped through my (and everyone else's) saved searches though!
btw, I heard from Arrrhalomynn yesterday aswell - he saw the auction and emailed me to say "It's not that rare, I know of 2 other copies". Turns out it was the same two copies I knew about LOL

Yeah sorry about the slight roasting. Everywhere has a few rabid people, but most of us are okay over there ;)
Still, four copies isn't very much still. Still less than the number of Air Raid copies known (5 I believe) though more than the number of Gauntlets (3 I believe).

And I've said all along that there have got to be more out there - it's not like I was suggesting that there were only 2 ever made. Anyway, as they say "There's no such thing as bad publicity", and it's probably added a few more watchers to the auction :)

Typical. If someone sells a game for quite a bit there's always people jumping in 'THATS NOT SO RARE!!'
'I OWN TEN COPIES' blahblahblah. Do I smell jealousy?
There's litterally thousands of dirtcommon games listed as 'RARE!' on ebay but as soon as it start to hit a big amount they can't wait jump in on it and start moaning about it. Typical, real typical. x_x
Also, no one claiming to have it there posted proof.
In the end who cares if there's 2, 3 or 10 copies known.
If you're a collector you know what the rarer games are anyway.

I liked it better when there was only 1 known copy because I could tell myself "if theres only 1 then its one-of-a-kind and I dont need it for a complete collection"..
Maybe i should try for a complete Australian set (no darxide and no primal rage) :P

That NTSC blow-up was hilarious ... I started the topic last night, and there were 6 posts when I left. Didn't look again till late this afternoon, when one of my freinds emailed me to say that I had stirred up a shit-storm over there. I figured he was exaggerating, till I checked it out and found 5 pages of replies! LOL
Anyway, as far as I am concerned, I have seen only two photos of PAL Primal Rage 32X games, therefore there are only two confirmed copies in existence for me.
I'll adjust my reckoning when I see evidence rather than big talk. I'm not accusing anyone of being a liar outright, but 'confirmed' copy to me means photographic evidence when it comes to something this scarce.
Someone could genuinely have 20 copies, but until they show some evidence to back it up that's unconfirmed as far as I am concerned.

And also, I would sure like to see a copy of that auction page if it has been on ebay. It's been in my saved searches for a long time, and I have checked up every auction it emailed me, even all the US ones ... that I was 99.99% sure would be NTSC copies (and they all were).

Kron confirmed his by giving me a selected quote from the manual. I'm inclined to believe that since he's no real reason to lie about it, and isn't too likely to handily be sitting on a scan of the manual 'just in case'.
He said he got it about 2 years ago, but I suspect it might be longer ago than that, otherwise I would have expected to see it.
The other guy has read the PM I sent him but not replied. Go figure ;)

Well, that is good enough for me also on Kron's part. Can't think how it slipped past me though!!
The other guy ... well, again - perhaps he's legit. But until he decides to prove it, I'll stick with the three known copies around now :D
Well, it's a 200% increase on the number of confirmed copies I knew about a week ago, so that's not bad going!

Maybe I have to be happy I didn't won it, as now I can spend the money on some games which are worth it to play, as I have already Primal Rage for Megadrive, Game Gear and Saturn. LOL

All I can say is Damn!!! Going by the number of copies of that game, it must be one of (if not the) rarest game ever.
I have a hard time believing that there are less than 10 copies released though. Just think about it. Why would a company even release a game commercially, if they are going to produce less than 100 copies. I would have thought that all real releases would get at least a 1,000 game print, but maybe not.

I think anyway it's quite a lot of money for a game, especially if you consider the game is released in almost every other format (let's think, GB, SNES, GG, MD, SAT, PSone, JAG-CD, and maybe some more including some compilations). About the number of carts produced, I have no idea what Sega did with these last runs, there must be some kind of run made, as I think the chance is mall the send them back to make new games like with the NGP. I have no idea how much are around there but I think total run will be around 500 or something as this is the minimum for cd's (ok you can do even smaller, but for keeping the production prices reasonable you need to do at least 500. So I think that must be around the number the production run of this game was big.
