View Full Version : 4 SNK Playmore titles confirmed this year for Xbox

SNK Playmore officially announced they will release four new titles for Xbox in US during 2005, including The King of Fighters NeoWave, Samurai Shodown 5, The King of Fighters '94 Re-Bout and KOF: Maximum Impact Maniax. All four titles will have Xbox Live support for head to head battles.

Well at least Samurai Shodown 5 is back on track.
Wow it looks like I may acutally sign up for Xbox live for this.

I'll definitely get SS5 and NeoWave, but I'm debating about the other two titles. I didn't like their PS2 incarnations, and I doubt being able to play on Live will sway my opinion.

I defenitely am going to pick up SS5, and perhaps Neowave, I dunno. I may even rebuy 2003 just to play it on Live. I guess it's finally time to break down and buy it....only like 30 bucks with my discount anyways.

I was pretty excited when I read the title of this thread until I realized that three of the games are going to be King of Fighters games. Couldn't SNK mix it up a little more? They have a lot of great properties, and seeing three versions of KoF is a little much to me.
Then again, it has always worked well with the Street Fighter series, so perhaps they know more than I do.

I am ecstatic about Rebout '94 coming out here. It is the only KOF that I don't have a home version for. (Haven't stepped into Neo Geo yet) I have heard that it isn't that great, but it is worth it for my collection.
As of late, SNK games are the only ones I am paying full price for on the current gen systems. I want for everything else to drop in price, but have to get the SNK stuff. I guess I fear missing out due to the small print runs.
