....what would it be?

I'd love to have a mural of the cover of Katamari Damacy on a wall on my apartment.

Bah, Volume 3 IS out. And the cover ain't nearly as good as that one. You either get Jordan and the Doctor, or Baron Davis. HMM.

The cover art for Y's Book I and 2 on the Turbo-CD. One of my favorite games, and the cover art is really cool. It's a painting of Darm Tower--you can even see the little annex in it. Very cool stuff. Of course, I think it'd be even cooler if I could get one that was JUST the painting, without the name of the game or any TG-16 logos. Like a Peter Saville New Order album cover.

I'd go for a Suikoden, Brigandine, or a Jade Empire one. I'm all about Jade Empire at the moment.

If I do tackle something like that it would be the secret of mana. Be bitchy hard work but man would be gorgeous when done...

I'd love a mural of Megaman facing every single robot master from Megaman 1-8 & Megaman & Bass. That would be the friggin' coolest thing ever. Either that or the entire Chrono Trigger team defeating Lavos.

I would love to have a huge battle scene with all the "Heroes" on one side charging into their death against all the classic "Bosses" on the other side. What can I say, I had a dream about it!

A mural of all the generations of Gradius with all the bosses and drone baddies throughout all the games - it would be like the intro sequences (that go through parts of the old games) at the beginning of some of the modern Gradius and Parodius titles - except spread in a 360 degree mural around the room, an epic space battle of one of the greatest franchises of all time.

It would have to be the super detailed HAND DRAWN (no CG) art from the earier game covers, like the SCD Gradius II.

Secret of mana was the first game to pop into my mind. The 3 main characters standing at the base of a gigantic tree would be a sweet mural.

I would have a full wall of every Mortal Kombat character with a big MK dragon logo in the middle.

But...i must be crazy to do that...now i´m happy with my vanilla colour paint... :D

You know I was thinking about this very subject the other day. You see I have my room of doom painted in the same colors of an NES unit. Well I have been wanting to paint a wall as a theme and have been thinking of maybe doing the front of one of the black boxes.

Also probably going to do a Tri-force emblem on a wall. ;)

I would love to have both a Suikoden 1 or Suikoden 2 one. Honestly, I would be happy with a wall scroll of either game. Anyone know of any places at all that sell Suikoden wall scrolls?

Also, I would love to have some NES murals such as: Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!!, Super Mario 1, 2, and 3, Legend of Zelda 1 and 2, and CastleVania 1 and 2.

Also, a mural or wall scroll of the Mortal Kombat symbol would be tight. Just the Dragon with no text on it at all.

I can't really think of anything else.

Some of that nice watercolor stuff the MGS character designer does would be nice, but I'd have to go with Amano art. Man that guy's amazing.

Ooh, here's an idea.

http://www.classicgaming.com/contra/games/contra3/cont3-14.gif

Imagine your bedroom wall, painted so Robo-Corpse here (as seen in Contra 3) looks as if he is ripping right through it. That would be SO freaking awesome for my room. Forgive the pun, but it would be totally "boss." :P

The only forseeable problem will be that I would be in constant paranoia that he would come to life and rip my head open, but to give my room a distinguishable appeal, it would be worth it. 8-)

i do have one :D it's on a tall skinny wall in my room. it's of a controller D-pad with tetris blocks around it, and under that is a black background with 2 space invaders, and below that is the halo 2 logo with 11/9/04 above it. at the top there's a green PS controller, and the dreamcast and atari logos done freehand (kind of crappily), and there are random stencils of atari joysticks, PS controllers, and a Gameboy all over th wall. i did the whole thing myself including the stencils, and i'm always adding to it. i'll put up a pic as soon as i find one.

Edit:

http://www.maj.com/gallery/Nuhvok-2000/VideoGames/vgmural.jpg

the controller at the top looks like crap, i know, but it's not easy painting while standing on a dresser. the space invaders are right below the bottomn of the pic. also, this is an old pic so the aforementioned stencils were not up yet at this point. oh yeah, if you did'nt realize yet, it's all done with spraypaint. :)

To all of you who say you have one, lets see some pics ;)

As for me... oh man. The easy one that comes to mind is Suikoden. All 108 characters from every game, would probably come close to 350 characters total, but man would it be fantastic, all the characters in various poses, with the 27 runes throughout the mural.

Moreso, I think I'd have to go for an amalgamated mural of all of my favorite SNES RPG's. Every character from FF2/3, a bunch of locations from both games (figaro, the moon, the fiends from 2). The mana tree would absolutely be the centerpiece with a huge canopy encompasing the entire piece, with flammie up above most of the characters. Gigantic portraits of Chrono and Cecil would take over the backgrounds on either side of the tree.

I'd like it to look a lot like the covers to suikoden 2/3/4 in that they've got a ton of characters in various poses with bits of detail all very well done and smooth throughout the entire image.

Hmm? I would have to go with Alien Breed for the Amiga. The alien on the cover is pretty bad ass.

I'd love to have that as my mural. :-P It has all of the good versions of Megaman. I don't see a single battle network character on there.

I'd have something that portrays the theme of the new Jade Empire game. That whole Asian mysticism thing. A nice, calming mural.

I think it would be cool to have a pixel-perfect replica of a screenshot from a game. You would draw a grid of squares on the wall, and then blow up a screenshot from an emulator (make sure no scaling filters were in effect) to see what color each square (pixel) should be. You could use multiple screenshots to create a level, or at least part of it.

An 8- or 16-bit game wouldn't be too hard I guess, but a modern game (especially if it was a PC game in an insanely high resolution) would be difficult.
