new rockstar game

has anyone heard about it , or know anything about all i know it is called The Warriors

It was based on a (rather cool) movie made in the late 70's about a gang member falsely accused for killing a gang leader. Blah, not a very good summary, but a very good movie.

It looks like a pretty cool game, Rockstar hasn't made any games that have disappointed me yet. :)

Well Crow, if you don't like most of their games, I doubt this one will change your mind.

Game Informer has a nice write up about the game in their latest issue. It definitely looks cool.

If you're unsure about the game, check out the movie. Great cult classic that's an awesome watch even today. Maybe if the movie piques your interest the game will too.

its probly going to be a good game....though im probly not going to play it... i respect the company, but i really have no intrist in most of their games...i never really know why...but i balieve it to be a good game.

I have to agree, I like them as a company, but their games to me are kinda blah. I enjoyed Vice City for the first 2-3 weeks of having it and then it got boring as hell. It seems all I can play now are action games, sports games, or RPGs.

I saw and read the big thing in the new GI as well, and as a fan of both RS and their games this one looks really cool to me, plus I really like the beat em' up genre, and it's been too long since we've had a good one.


In the article the guy speaking for RS, said that the whole team are fans of games like SoR and DD and that they are trying to incorporate much of what made those games good for the Warriors.

IMO RS hasn't made a bad game yet so I doubt I'll be dissapointed.

I agree wholeheartedly. Talk about a genre that needs a comeback! Let's hope the Warriors does well enough to spark some sort of revival.

I'm a fan of the movie (dressed up as a Fury for Halloween a couple of years ago) and of beat-em-ups so I'm definitely looking forward to the game, especially after seeing the preview in Game Informer.

well I have seen the movie and it is pretty good and I read the artical in GI and it seems to bland you know, they sadi most of the fighting it focus on ground acts , why can't they get idea from like def jam or mortal kombat if they made thier fighting systems better the game might be worht it to rent and try it out.

Maybe they'll offer the dvd as a preorder bonus like for The Thing, whichever game gave away Night of the Living Dead. I'd definitely go for that.
