tekken 5 question (console version)

i heard that tekken 1 through 3 are included in the game, but are supposedly arcade ports. does that mean there isn't gon or dr. b in the third title, or any of the minigames introduced in the home ports?

Exactly. No Gon, Dr. B, minigames, or even remixed music. Aw well... at least all the time release characters are immediately available.

I heard the Tekken 2 arcade mode was included as well?

I doubt that all 3 tekken games are included. Since Tekken 5 uses a DVD5 i dont think it would be enough space to include 3 extra Tekken games, but thats just my guess :)

All the reviews have stated Tekken 2's arcade mode was included. Is it out yet in the US?

The Arcade versions of Tekken 1,2 and 3 are on the Tekken 5 disk.

And yes it's been out in the US since Feb.

It's possible because the PS1 textures aren't gonna bloat any disc capacity. Crappy textures alert! But yeah, I thought it had Tekken 2 as well. Would have been an odd ommission in my opinion.

Can't wait for its release in the UK. It's been listed as September here but I also read on Sony's site it's May!

Not quite sure about this, atleast not full game including movies and music. If so i would like to see it before I belive it :)

As other people have said, it's in the game. Many of us have it, and can attest that it's all there.. I've played all three extensively - they're the full games, with all the characters and EVERYTHING from the original arcade versions, and it runs almost flawlessly. There's no conspiracy...it's legit. I promise. :)

On a slightly side note, isn't there a mini-game with tekken 5 though (not tekken 1-3)? I'm pretty sure it's StarBlade (I've got it for 3do). I may be thinking of a different ps2 game with that mini-game in it, but I doubt it since tekken 5 and starblade are both namco.

Also, tekken 3 STILL looks better on bleemcast - how about that!
