Anyone else get this game a couple days ago. As for me, I'm loving it. This game is a lot more than I thought it would be. In addition to drawing your pac-man, in later levels you have the ability to draw arrows and bombs. Enemy's will be on the top screen that you will have to shoot an arrow to knock down, while at the same time you'll have to bomb armored enemies...and if your daring enough, control pac-man at the same time. This is another high score type game like Yoshi Touch and Go, but there are more levels (72 AFAIK, but maybe more), including cool boss fights. Between this and Polarium, the last two weeks have been sweet. :D

Anyone else enjoying this as much as I am?

Definitely a fun game, if a little short. Played a bit for the Japanese release and just got myself a US copy whilst over here. Something to play with on the plane home...

I've been waiting for this game - I'm also a nut for anything Pac-Man related...but is it really that good? Will it keep me interested? I thought that Yoshi was incredible, but then I got kinda bored of it within 2 weeks...

How's the audio?

I like this game better than Yoshi, just for the fact that it has way more levels and it has boss fights. Now granted, after playing a while, I could see myself getting tired of this game, but at the moment I am enjoying replaying levels to try and beat my score.

Here's some pics from IGN:

Regular Level

As you can see with this one, your pac-man can also enter the top portion of the screen.

Here's a pic of the bomb you can draw

And the arrow to shoot the ghost in the bubbles

As stated before, in the beginning all you have is pac-man, but as the game goes on you learn the arrow and bomb abilities...and eventually you'll have to use all 3 at once.

It is by no means a long game, but I think it has more replayability than Yoshi does. At the same time though, you have to like these types of games...if you can play the same level of pac-man over and over trying for a better score, then what makes this any different? (and obviously theres more to do in this game)

Also, I just find it cool bringing my own pac-man to life...and its funny when you have this uneven goofy looking shape chomping up ghosts. ;)

I picked it up the other day and it's quite fun. Surprisingly difficult at times too. Sometimes the arrows I draw don't get recognized by the game, however, and that's -really- frustrating.

Awesome! Finally a DS game that looks worth picking up. Definatly looks like fun, and is my next planned game to pick up. Thanks for the info Drexel!

I'm a little confused on it though. How long are the levels?

I love the look of this game, that saturated watercolor style. I'm always eager to see games that still strive for a unique look.

If I had a DS, I'd almost certainly get this game. The concept of it is just compelling, and it's impressive how developers are seriously experimenting with the touch screen. My fears that the bottom screen would only be a novelty have fortunately been put to rest.

I'm a little confused on it though. How long are the levels?

There are 12 chapters (at least...I haven't beaten 12 yet so that may be it), with 6 stages in each. Each stage has a time limit...I can't remember the highest limit off the top of my head, but for some reason 180 secs stands out. Anyway, the level goes on til you eat all the ghosts, or if the time runs out its game over. And when it's game over, its really game over...in the pictures where it shows what looks like multiple pacman lives, is actually the maximum amount of times you are allowed to draw a new pac-man. Sometimes, in the top portion of the screen, a new life will appear to be eaten, also the fruit makes an appearance for mega points.

In every fourth chapter, the 6th stage is a boss fight. Those stages are a little longer and a little more difficult (at first ;))

Anyway, again, its not a super long game...way longer than Yoshi, but in all reality you could technically beat it in a couple hours. It is a high score game that you have to enjoy replaying levels...so far I am enjoying this. Will I get tired of the game, most definitely, but I know that its also something that I can pick up and play at any time and enjoy (which will especially come in handy during long the plane ride to CGE).

Yeah sometimes the stuff doesn't register...for those that don't know, you have to draw each thing in a specific way. For example, with pac-man, you have to start at the top of the mouth, make the < and then arc it off. However, this doesn't mean that it has to be perfect. I've made some weird looking pac-mans (and the other shapes), but I still followed the guidelines and everything was fine. Only a few times while playing did things "not seem to work".

I dig it, but it's a high-score mini-game, not a standalone release (same as Yoshi). It should've been paired with a retro-compilation, or other mini-games, or even Pac N Roll.

I'm skeptical still. But how is Polarium, I tried out Nintendo's online demo and it seemed to suck a lot. No challenge at all. Is polarium a downloadable multiplayer where you can use a single cart, if it is then even if it sucks I'm tempted ot buy it. Hehehe.

There is a Polarium thread, but to answer your question, yes, the multiplayer mode is a tetris style game that you race you're opponet, and see who can stay in the longest. if the question is Polarium or Pac-Pix imo def Polarium!
