Sweetness, man that was such a damn good game. I always wanted to play the sequel on Sega CD, but I heard the real ending was kind of sad.

Would love to try this out, but the RAR keeps coming up failing CRC checks and appears to be corrupted? I have downloaded it no less than five separate times and each time WinRAR fails to open it due to CRC failures.

Looks like it would be cool though from the screenshots posted on the website.

Wow! Now that is one cool GBA release! I might actually have to find an emulator now!

Time to buy a rewritable GBA-cart and dust off my GBA. This is the best news I heard in a long time. A conversion of one of my favorite games, and it's free. [/i]

I never got a chance to fully play it. I always wanted to play the sega cd version too. There were a couple of ports to consoles i believe. SNES and others.

This Sounds cool to me.

Not to mention the sequel (Heart of the Alien) is incredibly hard! even compared to the original...

I did beat the first one, though.. after many, many hours of frustration.

This is cool, though! now if only I had a re-writable cart..

Huh. I seem to remember a fan-made GBA interpreter for this game getting a C&D letter from Chahi like a year ago. I thought for sure he was going to try to actually make it a commercial project, maybe no publishers wanted to touch it?

This is awesome. I have 'Heart of the Alien' for Sega CD (which contains BOTH Out of this world/another world & heart of the alien.

I'm guessing that this rom is only the first game - still awesome - it looks & sounds just like I remember the Sega CD version.

For a good emulator - get Visualboy Advance - just google it.

I'm tossing this on my flash card for sure!

That's what I was thinking, although as I recall the interpreter was originally meant for Windows.

Yeah, I think you're right, I think it was afilliated with ScummVM in some way. If I remember correctly, the cease & desist specifically mentioned making the game for GBA.

Hmm, I will be looking out for that one!

And yes, very good game here. Loved all the little cutscenes that'd pop up (just as long as I didn't have to see them too much)! Getting past the alien bull at the beginning, though...ARGH

I've never played this before so it's my first time - seems interesting. It's also pretty dark, seems like my backlight isn't on even though it is.

I was talking to someone else online who couldn't get it from their webpage, so if it fails for you there, try here

Sounds really cool. Wish it was on cart though. I just don't care too much for emulators. Ah well, I've always got my old Apple IIgs version! 8-)

This is awesome news. I defenitely gotta invest in a flash cart soon. Great, great game. I've never finished it though. I was recently replaying it on sega cd and it was just as tough as I remember. Back in the day, I was never able to figure out the part where you have to start up some space ship before it gets blown up.

You could just buy a cheap rewriteable card and put it on there and then you would! I love my card =)
