I've got a box of random Atari 8 bit computer disks on the way. I'm not sure if they have boxes or not, but it's mostly games. The guy's just sending them to me cause he doesn't want them, and I'm wondering if there's anyone who collects this stuff or knows what it is. I guess they're all 5 1/4 floppies. I'll post the specifics when i get them (next week or so).

So what are they and does anyone look for em? I'd like to get them to a home that will appreciate em...I figured it was better than him throwing them out.

Thanks!

I just got an Atari 800XL and two floppy drives. Unfortunately I don't have the power supply (see my recent post). I'd love to get a few off you at least to copy (when I solve the PS problem anyway).

Funny..the guy has a power supply too..didn't get it cause I didn't want to pay shipping. Here's what he has:

Power Supply part#:CO61636 - 120VAC input, 9.5VAC ouput.
To be used with Atari 8-bit computers, or maybe one of the
external peripherals like a printer or FDD.

If you need it, I'll contact him and have him ship it to me. Let me know.

Did you say ATARI 8-bit 5 1/4" floppies??? :D :D :D

(How's that for a poker face?)

I'm interested in your list- I'm not a collector but I'll buy if I see something I like.

No problem...I'll post a list of everything I get as soon as the stuff shows up!

"Funny..the guy has a power supply too..didn't get it cause I didn't want to pay shipping."

I don't doubt it, considering their ridiculous size and weight!. The things practically have be be shipped in their own rail car. It would probably be easier just to relocate your house and belongings into the general area that the power supply currently resides in..

@maxlords- are you thinking of selling disk by disk w/ shipping deal(s) for multiple orders, dividing it into lots or selling the whole shebang at once?

I'm an Atari 8-bit collector so definitely post the list or PM me if you'd like. It's the machine I grew up on mostly (we didn't have a VCS for nearly as long as an Atari 400, which I still have at home (I have a VCS too but I bought it five years ago)).
