I think the subject covers my question. :)
The only copyright in the game is Taito 1991, and I haven't beaten the game to check the credits. I've never seen a Japanese release of the game either, but that doesn't mean much (there are about 1300 Japanese Famicom games, and I have no idea what the name of this one might be if it does have a JP release...)
