a sort of sequel to the underloved magic pengel game (i know barely anyone bought this) it appears to be more of an adventure game than a breeding simulation. keep an eye out.

I bought and loved Magic Pengel!! On day one as well! That game rocked. I'm all over this Graffiti kingdom game, but I can't find a sold release date. IGN says the end of may, so I guess I'll check then.

i own Magic Pengel but have yet to play it, seems cool though. i will most likely pick this one up too, few niche games slide past me at the $19.99 price point.

What was Magic Pengal about??

the game is basically a monster breeding simulator, only you can draw the creature itself. you start out with harsh limitations, but the more you win the better options come availible. you get to assign attributes to limbs and etc, and use colors that have effects and merits. i made a penis monster on my first attempt, although i didn't axis it correctly, so it flops around differently than i had planned.

.... And what is graffiti kingdom about? Basically the same thing?

... If it is, Darnit. :| LOL

I know it most likely is but it was not described in the main post.

Magic Pengel was really fun. More fun in two player mode, but the story mode wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. Just had to resist the temptation to draw naughty shapes. I'm excited that there's another game similar to it coming out. I'll probably have to check it out when it drops to $20 used.

Hey, I'm hearing that this game is out, and in limited numbers. One of the major chains had it on their site for 30 bucks.

Just a bump to let people know. If anyone does actually find a copy, please let me know, as I'm not sure if it's actually out here or not.

I picked it up yesterday at gamestop. It was originally supposed to come in on the 9th, but it was delayed for reasons unknown. Anyways, It's awesome! The drawing engine is much improved from magic pengel, and now you're not limited by how much ink you have. And actually being able to control your drawings in a platform world is much better than the rock-paper-scissors battles of magic pengel. It's easily worth the $30.

I saw it in a Gamestop...so it is definitely out. $39.99 I believe.

If you are wondering just how advanced stuff you can create in the game check out the galleries on this page (http://garakudou.s43.xrea.com).

Some amazing stuff done with the character editor, everything from The King of all Cosmos (http://garakudou.s43.xrea.com/rno128.html) to Ikaruga (http://garakudou.s43.xrea.com/rno76.html) to Robocop (http://garakudou.s43.xrea.com/rno80.html) and more.

So far there hasn't been any collecting. Just killing. The gameplay itself is kinda bland, but the character designing makes up for it in spades.

the king of all cosmos link didnt work for me, but the other models look awsome! I will definitly be buying this game, but only when I can get it for 15 or under.

For anybody who is considering playing Magic Pengel, the ending of that game is absolutely phenomenal. Its got artwork by Studio Ghibli (the guys who did Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away) and amazing music to boot. I wasn't expecting anything special, so this totally caught me by surprise.
