Just saw an interesting item at the same place I purchased my $4.00 Gameboy Color:

This is something that looks almost identical to that crummy Intellivision "controller game," but boasts 76,00 games in one.

I ran down the list for a moment, and it has many games on that list, although I noticed plenty of repetition.

When I played the games for a bit, I noticed that it was rather like a collection from many sources. "King of Fighters" was actually Yie-Ar Kung Fu, for example. "Tekken" was really Karateka. Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Junior, as well as Donkey Kong 3, were all clearly the NES versions. As was Galaga, Joust, 1942, and Pac-Man.

Front Line seemed to be the arcade version, however. As was Mappy, possibly.

Antartic Adventure was the MSX/ColecoVision version. Road Master was also there.

There were some gun games, and the unit does come with a light-pistol. Hogan's Alley was one such game.

There were numerous other games: Pooyan, Elevator Action (NES), etc. They often went by other names; you had to do some experimentation.

There were numerous other games that I was unfamiliar with. At least one of them was a side-scroller, like Nemesis.

All said, it seemed to be a pretty good product.

Those are also known as Superjoys, etc. Lots of threads around here on them.

Here's one dating back to 2002.

Here's Sothy's review of them.

They wanted $60.00 for it. Seemed a bit steep, little as I know about it.

For $60? Avoid it like the plague.

Oh, I have no intention of buying it. But what would be a fair price? For a $4.00 Gameboy Color, I guess I owe them something (such as telling them what a decent price would be).

Thanks!

I thought many of those kiosks were getting shutdown for selling illegal roms. I could be wrong, but I know that the companies have gone through court multiple times for selling those.

All they do is get 1 that has a bunch of good working games on display so that when you play the display one, it works just fine, and then you buy 1, take it home, and it turns out to be utter crap. I don't own any of these, but the most I would honestly pay for 1 would be $10.

Gameboy color for $4 isn't THAT great :) I think they go for about $10-$15 on ebay.

ALL the games you mentioned are the NES versions. :) And I agree with these guys - anything more than $10 is too steep.

I've learned over the years, you don't meddle in people's buisness when it comes to their prices. They will never listen and usually think you are just trying to get it cheaper, even if you tell them you don't want it.

Old man once had a Legend of Zelda for 35.00 at his shop, used, he asked me if it was a good price...I clearly explained that it was worth no more than 8.00 tops, webt back a month later and the 35.00 price was still on there.

The going rate around here is anywhere between $20-$30. I've seen them at the mall, at the flea market, and most recently at no-name convenient stores.

I originally bought mine because my van has A/V input jacks and these make for nice babysitters in the car for both son and daddy.
