As you many of you may remember, i had made a thread on these forums about a possible petition to prove to Nintendo that there is still a great deal of love and respect for the older consoles and that we'd love to see new games made for them. Some were all for it while other believed that it wouldn't be possible.
I had managed to get a great deal of signatures from my own school and at one time had a few personally unknown people working on a petition website of me. After months of not hearing a word from them, a source told me that they were unreliable and most likely never even started working on the website.
While receiving this news was just recently, it has been a great deal of months since I’ve gotten a signature or done anything with this petition for that matter. Lately I’ve been thinking about looking into this once again.
It sounds like a "big dream" all round but i may be ambitious enough to go fourth with this. The odds are not in my favor, but if i don't do this, who else would? Now, just earlier tonight while playing some snes down in my basement (hot as hell upstairs) it had clicked, i need to start this petition up again.
But my best bet is to get a website made before i go any further, this is where the first problem arises. I don't know the first thing to making a website. I thought I could turn to you for help on this as you seem to have great experience with this sort of thing. I have a few friends who once had their own webpage on Freewebpages but i'm not sure if a Freewebpage could handle what i intend to do with the website.
What I’d like to ask of all the roundtable forum members is...would you please be willing to help in creating a website for this petition? I have an idea of how the website layout would look like but perhaps some here could lend their expertise in making the website look nice as opposed to looking amateurish. I have no plans for it on being a hanging place, practically a petition with information on cancelled games. I have compiled dozens of old cancelled game advertisements and reviews from magazines that I could scan and put on the site.
I of course have much more info on this and im positive many of you have questions and concerns on this idea. With a website such as Digitpress built upon retro gaming, this site seems like the perfect place to host a petition website such as this.
I am open to all opinions here from all of you, good or bad. If any of you believe this is that this is a lost cause and that i am crazy then that is absolutely fine. I will simply continue to persue this distant dream.
If you managed to make it through reading all this then thank you very much for your time. :)
