Is there such thing as a Pokemon Jade or Pokemon Diamond?

If so, then where were they actually released, and how come there are so many fakes doing the rounds on eBay?

I have played the ROM of Diamond, and it doesn't seem to be consistant with all the other okemon games, hence leading me to beileve that no such thing exists - At least, not in English anyway...

This is something that has been bugging me for some tome now - So much so, I have started to collect a database of eBay auction pictures of the various (Obvious) fakes - Some with boxes, but mostly carts only. Ie:

Close examination of any of the above pictures will show that the game is an obvious fake, as there are various tell tale signs which give it away...

There were no Jade or Diamond versions in the US. One reason you notice them so often is the name, since the number of Game Boy bootlegs on eBay and eBayUK is staggering (25-40% of "new" GBA games, less but still high for GBC) but bootlegs of released games won't stand out nearly as much.

That top one with box and manual actually looks pretty slick. If I saw that for cheap I may pick it up even knowing its a bootleg.

I actually remember reading some reviews on this game which said it wasn't half bad. It really has very little to do with Pokemon, they just slapped the name on it to sell it better. It's not the most reliable place but here's some reviews from gfaqs:

At least you can get an idea of what the games are like from them.

Yea its a pirate.

My friend told me around a funny pokemon pirate once, its supposedly "diamond" but your name has to be :fuck (excuse the language) and everything is swears like bitch or fuck for pokemon, and when someone challenges you instead of saying something like "Hey you" it says something like "Get the fuck overhere!" LOL ill see if i can borrow it from him and get a few shots.

As for those pirates they look pretty slick.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are two games being developed for the Nintendo DS. There are rumors about online / wireless connectivity.
