Not usually one for asking, but as time is somewhat short and I've been busy with other things...

I'm currently doing a Vectrex article. So here's the question for you people. What good links are there out there for information and pictures regarding the following:

- history of GCE, the designers, production, sales (or in other words, the rise and fall of the machine timeline wise)

- good scans/pictures of complete games

- what the people of GCE did afterwards

- licensing information regaring selling the unit via MB in Europe

- information and pictures of the colour unit

I've pretty much collated what I need regarding the homebrew side (which is essentially as far as I've gotten so far) so anyone who has written a Vectrex homebrew game might get an email shortly asking for a quick interview ;)

Have you tried the Vectrex keynote? Should contain some insider info, haven't listened to it in quite a while though :)

I actually missed the Vectrex keynote last year for whatever reason (I think I might have been hungover badly if it was the Sunday!). I'll take a look at that hopefully, cheers :)

There arent many good sources of info on the net about it,

Jess Ragan (aka ManekiNeko) did a huge review (http://grblitz.overclocked.org/vectrex.htm) of a lot of Vectrex games.

The Vectrex Game Database:

http://vgdb.vectrex.com/index.pl

Has some info on a variety of games and hardware, as well as a page on the color Vectrex. I think this site is one of the best Vectrex sites out there.

This auction ends in two hours so it probably won't help you but Edge did an incredible article on Vectrex that is ten pages long and full of useful information in this issue:

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Spike's Big Vectrex Page (http://www.classicgaming.com/vectrex/). An awesome site, even if the navigation is kinda confusing. Check out "The Archive" section. It has more Vectrex goodness than you can shake a joystick at.

Also, rec.games.vectrex on Usenet was still somewhat active, last time I checked. The regulars there know pretty everything there is to know about the system.

Pretty sure I have that issue at home, so I'll have a look for it...
