Pahn is my favorite. I was also quite fond of using Nanami, Jeane, and Stallion.

Suikoden 1 - Most obvious choice is Hero McDohl (or Tir as some people call him). I thought he was the coolest character ever. I also like Flik, Pahn, Victor, Rubi, Cleo, Mathiu, Humphrey, Pesmerga, and Kasumi

Suikoden 2 - Again, the obvious answer is the Hero for Suikoden 2, as well as Hero McDohl. Also, I really like Victor and Flik again (though, they are the super powerhouses that they are in 1), Shu (even more bad ass then Mathiu was in 1), Humphrey (again:)), Pesmerga, Georg (this guy is like Victor from 1. He's a beast), and Nanami.

Suikoden 3 - Geddoe, Chris, Thomas, Aila, Watari, Jacques, and Futch. I haven't played the game enough to really have many favorites.
