Mad props to Kotaku (http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/psp/hack/index.php#use-your-psp-to-distract-drivers-102157) for this write up.

Use your PSP to Distract Drivers

Holy crap, this is an accident waiting to happen. The PSPodium is a long flexible metal post that you can use to mount your Playstation Portable in your car. The creators are begging to get sued with instructions like this:

In your vehicle the PSPodium allows you to… View UMD or Memory Stick Pro Duo movies!

View a slideshow of your favorite photos while you drive

Listen to MP3’s

It looks like the mounting kit allows you to attach the podium to a cup holder or other flat surface in your car. Now you can watch House of Flying Daggers at 90 miles an hour.

How does this differ from having a TV screen in your dashboard? I fail to see why the creators of this device are at risk of being sued.

Yay for more driver distractions. Now all we need are projection TV Windshields.

It's illegal to have a TV screen in view of the driver. People in California just choose to ignore that law. :P

Big LCD screens to run your luxury sedans in the dash are OK though! Strange world...

wow.......watching movies while driving is just wrong.
but for your co-pilot....why not.

I also heard rumours about a car-navigation add-on for the DS(made by a swiss company) which also comes with a clamp and battery charger for your car.Instead of DVDs(where the info is saved on) the road-information is saved on GBA cards whilst the add-on itself wíll use the DS port.
The upperscreen will show you the driving direction(a big arrow) and a compass whilst the lower screen will be used for departure/destination input via stylus and (while driving) displaying of the actual roadmap.
