Okay, i thought id help anyone out who is/was considering buying the RE4 GC bundle by letting you know, whats inside and what you get. As i know a few people are interested...

Upon opening the box, i am greeted with loads of baggage and cardboard, and the front of the Platinum & Black Gamecube!

With everything out, dying to be played, here is what is included within this pack:

The game inside is also sealed by nintendo for you sealed collectors amongst us...

If anyone in the UK is considering buying this, then i suggest you get to Gamestation, the one i visited had the Bundle for £100 which included

RE4 Console
1 Unofficial Controller
1 Unofficial 4mb Memory Card
Metroid Prime 2

Hope this helps some of you!

I wish you wouldn't keep showing off that GameCube - I *really* want it LOL It's so smoothalicious. Though I don't think I can persuade myself to buy the console and get a second copy of Resident Evil 4. Though, it would be sealed. And I can leave it sealed. Hmm. Damn you and your good taste :)

I still like my black GameCube. It's black... and stuff. You just don't get black the way you used to on all these themed bundles Nintendo are sprouting.

How are the controller and memory card Unofficial? They look like the real deal to me.

Wow, that thing is sweet. I'd love to have one, but I already have 2 'Cubes!

I'm not quite sure why Nintendo chose to make bottom of the unit black though...why not just make it silver like the rest of the console?

I'd have to see the black strip at the bottom to be absolutey sure, but I do quite like it. I don't think I'd like to see it all silver, personally.

What's on the disc in the paper envelope?

Also, I have to say that I prefer the US cover art for RE4.

that's pretty sweet. If the console and controller was blood red instead of silver I'd buy one. Which makes me ask the question, why silver?

IMO if you're gonna have a themed bundle and the console and controller is gonna be branded with the game's logo, then the hardware itself should be of a fitting color to the game.

No, those are extras given away at gamestation!
The RE4 Controller is included in the bundle!

The shop in question sells you a memory card and unofficial controller IN ADDITION to the RE4 bundle itself. So you get two controllers essentially.

Well it is possible in some places to pick up the Donkey Konga version for £50... so maybe not sometimes.

Standard price for the Cube I believe is £90 at the moment. Which was the price of the GBA until it was reduced to £70 upon release of the DS.

Seems pretty good to me considering it comes with not only a copy RE4 but a free memory card, controller and Metroid Prime 2.

That's what convinced me to get mine when they were released - I figured at 35 quid each for Resi 4 and Metroid 2 that meant the 'Cube cost 30 quid - bargain! Mine's staying safely sealed up as a spare console, though I have opened Resi 4 and the demo disc.

Then again, I'm comparing it to the lowly Canadian dollar...

The reason it is Silver/Black. Pure speculation but I think they had an abundance of Platinum/Black shells & just made a LTD edition console on the cheap. I could be fully wrong but hey.

I picked up the same deal on Friday, but mine is staying sealed as I have RE4 and a 'Cube already :-)

A few weeks ago, this bundle was selling for over £130 on eBay!

The bonus disc was also going for over £25 on it's own!!!

I also hear it's limited to only 10,000 between the UK and France - So 5,000 each more or less.

Everywhere has generally sold out now, as this is technically the first time Nintendo has released an actual LE GameCube console on these shores (Not counting the regular platinum one, or the Spice launch model)

I was lucky enough to get hold of this on the day of release (Pre-ordered it as well!) for only £89.99 from GAME, which I believe is it's official RRP.

It's far from sold out. I can find it at a number of stores and places online. Sorry to disappoint you.
