I know there is a bit of info in the data base about this.
But i wanted to know who else here owned one or has ever used one?

I saw these in a store the first time abuot 6 months ago. There were 5 brand new in their original shipping box.

Luckily enough they were out of the public eye. I knew there was something odd about them the first time i saw them.

Months passed and then i happened across one on ebay. So i decided to check the rariy on it and it was an R6. So i called up my favorite local shop and asked if i could rummage the store again. The guy said it would be ok (i hadn't been there in months, completely broke)

Found them again in the same place as before.
There were only 5 of them (i thought there was 10) brand new in the original shipping box.
Asked what they wanted for them and the guy laughed andd explained the sad piece of plastic it was. Ended up with them anyways and some CIB NES games as well as some other awesome stuff.

So anyways back to the original question.
Anyone else have one or more of these or know anything interesting about them?

I use it to play Super Famicom titles. Haven't actually tried saving my progress in anything...

the naki snes game saver+ converter is actually a nifty accessory, save for a few issues. you can play most imports (some fx chip and oversize sfc carts won't work), and it supposedly has a cheat device built in (at least the one i have does). the save anywhere feature works well, but one big caveat- you need to keep batteries in the thing and keep it plugged into your snes in order for the save to, er, save! you'll notice the picture quality is lesser than if you use straight AV cables to your tv, but if that's not a beeg deel, you'll be pleased

the other negative is the thing's size. it's not designed too well, and if your snes sits under your tv or is in a small space, you'll have to relocate it. other than that, it's a neat peripheral.

Very cool i thought i could use it to play imports as on the box it shows a super famicom game in the slot.

Much thanks for all the info guys. These things were SO worth the money.

And i think me and geelw have different models.
I am 90% sure mine doesn't use batteries or have a cheat feature.
I haven't used it yet though so i could be wrong.
But it would be interesting if there was a variation out there.

Well i guess i can start looking into SFC imports now too :)

A place called Video Game Castle.

I have been going their for the last 4-5 years and i play Magic their most weekends at the store with one of the guys who works there.

We have all gotten pretty chummy. Or so it seems.
They probably say mean things about me when i am gone....

Then again probably not lol

5.25," you mean. Shouldn't be too hard to find a blank one on eBay; though lots of them seem to sell for decent money these days.

That Supercom Partner is not the Game Saver+, though it probably has game saver features like many other HK SNES backup devices. The GS+ does not take disks.

I actually bought the Game Saver + when it came out in the early 90s at the local Wal Mart. I loved that thing! It was so cool to be able to do that back then. To this day, I'm rather surprised that such a device made it to American shores. I don't think the Game saver was able to use cheat codes, but the unit does need you to input similar codes to get certain games to run on it. It came with a one page list in addition to the instructions with codes for 100 or 200 games...I've still got it hanging around somewhere...

I remember these things, almost to the point where I think i may have had one, but I can't be sure.

Why are my SNES days all fuzzy memories? I remember my favorite atari games...and what I played on my genesis...what the hell.
