I was in the bidding until it hit $90...that's too rich for my blood :p but I would love to see this go to a fellow DP'er.

I also own a copy, anybody has an idea what the European main-land version is worth. Mine is NOS, manual excellent except one fold, box has some wear, cart, tray and part are new. Manual is in french and dutch.

As in the last years I never saw a complete pal-version for sale, only three times a loose pal-cart.

Was there ever a European release of Stack-up? :eek 2:

But why? As far as I know the R.O.B. was never released here anyway, though it was mentioned in a few pieces of advertising. Are you saying that we did get R.O.B. in Europe? In that case, why is it so impossible to find it then?

New old stock I believe. An older game that has never been sold.

Yes, ROB was sold in europe, i have seen dutch Deluxe sets and spanish Gyromite (bigbox) games.

The ROB was released in most of Europe I think, I only know Germany didn't get it. And yes there is a European version of Stack Up. I once owned a deluxe nes in mint condition, but I sold it, I think I will put the Stack Up also on eBay, as it's I think one of the harder to find euro-releases.

And here's some proof of it

That's interesting to see, thanks for the picture! But how come it's so difficult to find R.O.B. in Europe? Was it sold for only a short period? Was it a limited release? Did everyone throw their R.O.B. away once they discovered it was just a useless lump of plastic? LOL

I think there are a number of reason for being rare. Once the distribution of the NES in Europe was quite a mess in the eighties. There were multiple companies who had a license to sell the NES in a certain country. I think the main ones were Mattel and Bandai. Also I have the feeling the NES was released later in Europe then in the USA, which makes the lifespan of the ROB even shorter, this next to the facts the NES had a smaller marketshare in Europe and the fact that it's harder to overview the European market makes this game really hard to find.

But hey it's not the only game, but if anyone knows if there are other European version next to the Benelux and French version please tell me as also the loose euro-carts I saw are mention FRA.
