MODs please do not move this to proto board yet, I need answer asap, once I got answer feel free to move it
I was at a local flea today checking out a box of games, and one of them called "Drac's Night Out", I had never heard of it before and when I got home and checked it was a prototype. Now I know prototypes are usualy different from real carts, this one was a normal cart and it had a label with a red border, red title, and grey background with a picture of drac in the lower right.
Was this a reproduction or the real deal? is the real game a proto cart with no label whatsoever?
If it truly is the proto I will head back tomorrow to see if its still there, I do not want to buy a reproduction, help me out.[/b]

Oh just buy the damned thing. Why do people make threads like this? Whether or not it's a reproduction, you just passed up an unreleased NES game that probably costed next to nothing.

It probably cost next to nothing, too.
I agree, though.

How would a repo end up at a flee market anyway?
I find this story hard to believe and chalk this up to another "calling wolf" proto story until pics are posted.

Doubt it, otherwise he would have posted about it. I hate it when people don't follow up with their posts...especially when I want it! :(

Hey Redeye, you must be going to the same garage sale I go to. They had SimCity for NES for 0.50. I think I was ripped off.

Dream, you definitely got hosed. I got a box full of NES Sim City's for $1. The guy threw in a couple Black Tigers and something called Vagina's Prophecy for no extra charge.

I found a Sim City for NES on the ground at the Wal-Mart but the label was a bit off-centered so I left it. So I go back and pick it up before it gets run over?
Is the guy at the Flea Market charging US $760.01 for that Drac like some idiot under a new account (probably one of multiple accounts) did on ebay?

I know I'm late for this party, but I was just reading the hilarity of the whole Drac's Night Out debacle under ebay insanity. It is, by far, the funniest thing I have ever read! I'm a total newbie to DP so I try not to post much, but when the moderators come down on someone it's freaking awesome. That idiot with all of the accounts just pissed me off. Anyway, great thread!

I agree... this one sizes up one of the best threads of all time.
ESPECIALLY when Cmosfm said this:
Are you SURE that you found it at a Flea Market?
LOL LOL
Reminds me of when Brian (from Familly guy) asks Peter: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOThing?
Best threads of all time:
1) The one on AtariAge about the guy almost getting a Meltdown Proto for $1
2) The thread here with the guy who bought the latest NWC cart.
3) this one. 8-)

well i read that marathon thread at AA on the Meltdown proto.
Quite a story. I now wanna know the eventual conclusion on that one....regardless of when that happens.
thanks for posting the link. do you have one for that NWC thread. I cant seem to find that one either.

Heres the "NWC" one I was talking about. Turns out I was mistaken, the thread is actually about Air Raid and not the Nintendo World Championships cart. However, they do mention that he has the NWC cart.
Here it is... great read:
