Well, here is the deal my family and I are starting up a Pizza Buffet shop with a 25 game arcade room by Namco. I am trying to think of a name to call the arcade but the only arcade we ever had up in South Dakota was an Aladdian Castle. So I was wondering what are the arcades called around you so I can get some ideas or can you guys think up a good name.

Hmm...said arcade won't be near a 64th Street, will it? Or a Battle Street?

Coin-Op Canyon? Works best if you have copies of Blood Bros./Sunset Riders/Wild West C.O.W. Boys of Moo Mesa!

Would like to know what sorts of machines/era you're talking about, here.

I think there was one here once called Tilt...though that's probably more appropriate if you have a lot of pinball games. Pac-Man's Playground? Mappyland? :D

Room of Doom? Or, you could call it "Noah's Arcade" like in Wayne's World.

I second the "Room of Doom" idea. I haven't slept yet tonight (this morning) though, so I'm unable to conjugate any further ideas. "Room of Doom" is sweet, though. :)

the arcades around me have the following names: CIrcle D Bowling, Dave & Busters, GameWorks, and Final Frontier Arcade (another arcade at a bowling alley).

It's an all Namco arcade?? That's pretty interesting...I kind of like Pac-Man Playground in that case.

"Noiseland Arcade". You HAVE to call it "Noiseland Arcade". Then open up a comic book shop right next door and call it "The Android's Dungeon".

There's an arcade by me called Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum. And there's a GameWerx or something like that (but it's not nearly as fun).

You ask an interesting question though :) . I've day-dreamed of starting a place called Ninja Pizza, which would have an arcade. I agree with the Room of Doom suggestion, simply because it's an irresistable phrase, but you'll probably need permission; isn't it trademarked?

Maybe "Pac-Man Fever" or "Namco Museum"? :)

Some now-defunct arcades from my childhood. I assume there are no copyrights on these so consider the following:

Gizmos
Jets
The Happy Bear

Original Ideas:
Dreaming City
Extra Life
Namco Coma (everybody appreciates a good anagram, right?)

My usual commision for these things is six percent. And no I won't accept mesetas as payment...

My favorite arcade, located in Ankara, Turkey

Dreamland

They have an extremely awesome token as well, its very beautiful. Still have one stashed away :) . The arcade rocks so hard. Its HUGE, over 200 game machines / air hockey tables ect.

Place by me is called "Fun & Games", plain, but I like it.

I always wanted to open up a trendy night club and call it "Club Baby Seal"

Then there is a bar/nightclub called "Mugs & Jugs"

Sadly

There are no more arcades other than a few rooms in a bowling alley or a (gasp) chuck e cheese around the Philadelphia suburbs.

But my vote would be for something like "The Ice Arcade"

:)

That arcade in Wayne? I used to enjoy that one too. :)
