Now THAT'S funny. Nintendo needs to release an action platformer starrring Reggie, where he runs across the screen picking up DS units and kicking Bill Gates clones in the ass.

Also, have him team up with Mr. T. Just because that would be doubly-awesome.

On second thought...why is Reggie wearing Yuna (?) clothes?!

He's Reggie, one half of Super Reggio Bros - the new marketing platform, I mean game, to hit the shelves from Nintendo. Watch as Reggie jumps from gaming platform to gaming platform, hyping it up to drooling fanboys, and then dropping it like a stone, while raising stocks solely based on the power of his afro and the words... I mean fireballs coming out of his mouth.

I see. Thanks! I read an interview with him in (I think) EGM recently and I figured that's what he did. I have to say though, in that interview he certaintly sounded like the man in port's description. Lots of cursing, little content.

Reggie is a beast of burden!

Super Reggio Bros?

as for some of the other comments made... first of all, you have to give him some time. He hasn't been in the role that long. He's probably just getting comfortable in his job now - just like anyone else, there's going to be an adjustment period. Time will tell whether he can help turn nintendo around or whether he's just a egoistic windbag.

Gah, that guy looks scary and unlikable. o_O Howard Phillips had more charisma in his pinky toe than this guy. Heck, even Dan Owsen was more endearing (and that's REALLY saying something).

If you saw his delievery at last years E3, you would not say that.

As hydr0x has qoted in his sig, thats how he started the press conference. That should sum up the tone of the speech pretty well, and if that's not enough I'm sure you can go to gamespot or ign and find plenty of press interviews with the guy to give you an idea of what kind of public speaker he is.

He does his job well, very well. His job isn't to lie, but it's to make people believe that everything he's talking about is gold, and he can do that. He's absolutely the kind of figurehead Nintendo needs to combat the massive Microsoft and Sony hype machines.

Having read a transcript of that speech, I think he comes off as an ass for talking out of his. Not a whole lot of his bark ended up being bite.

That's pretty much how I felt about the interview I read. Really sounded more like an angry, but articulate, 13 year old on a message board talking than the person following in Howard Phillips' footsteps. Not so much substance, mostly red meat for the fanboys.

Even when I think they're dead wrong, I like Nintendo better when their public face is classy and not "Xtreme to the max!!!1" which Reggie strikes me as. Hopefully it's growing pains because he could end up being an embarrassment.

Did everybody miss the part in the Fast Company article where it mentions that he's actually very polite in person (as expected - I can be like this sometimes, as well)? Just curious. As for the attitude, that's a matter of taste.

Like they're going to call him an asshole in a published article. The proof is in the pudding (or in the speech he gave, or something like that ...). Anyways, he's an ugly sunnova bitch and if he wants to kick ass he should do it from somewhere other than 3rd place.

Replace Reggie with Nintendo, then you'd be all set...

Come on, folks, he's doing his job. You've got to do something to rally the troops, and frankly that did it for me (as far as respect goes). Not at all his doing if the hardware isn't all he cracks it up to be LOL

Put this man behind the wheel at General Motors, now...
