Because the name of the game is so massive i had to leave the thread title some what ambiguos.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire is the game i want to know about
It is in the database as an R4
But in the database all it says for the longbox is it's "a bit harder to find."
Anyone know about how much that bit might be.
I picked up a complete copy for 20 bucks.
At least i know i didn't pay to much for it.
Thanks i advance.

I was curious, too... are long boxes generally harder to find? Is there a list of long box games around?

I'd suggest checking www.game-rave.com for all your PSX related needs.

Ah young sprites....
There are indeed LB variants as well as LB to JC versions of some games. In some cases the JC versions are MUCH harder to find, and in others good luck with the LB.
Now onto the answer sessions
@machine.slave: Yes LB titles are pretty hard to find. That doesnt mean that they still arnt out there, but when you tend to find then your going to see just a few while at the same time find 300+ JC games. So in that sense they are rarer. There are some games that are LB only that you tend to see with some regularity and they really arnt all that rare. To see a full list of LB titles do a search in here with "PlayStation Longbox list" or something like that. GoodwillHunter, Dangerboy, QueenOfTheFelines and I had a good run in that thread a while back. The complete list is there and off the top of my head I believe that there are a total of 108 unique titles that were LongBoxed.
@izret101: To tell you the truth some of the LB to JC variants are pretty hard to distinguish and IMO thats one of those harder to be certain about ones. I've handled a few Romance IV LB's myself (one game store I used to shop at had 4 from Romances release day) and over time picked up a few of them. I've seen it since in the wild a few times and the same goes with the JC version of the game, though I think that number is like 3-5 seen JC copies. Some of this PS rarity is still a little subjective as regionally areas have different rare games to some degree. Give me some time and i'll get a little more into that database about that and the other 1270+ PS games. Its long and slow work with the list at times. However there is a Romance thread that should be no more than a page or two back right now that had a whole buncha talk about the games, and people who played them much more than I. I'm sure if you have more specific game questions they could help.
Need anything else like this explained just drop me a PM or make a post in the Collectors Guide/Rarity Database if your not sure about raritys and the like for games and such.

I think we're all pretty much agreed that the Space Hulk LB variant is the toughest to track down though. Papastu is right when he says that occasionally the JC version of a game is even tougher to find, though.
