Can someone here who has both a Model 1 Sega Genesis and a TG16 take a look at their AC adapters and tell me if they are the same? I have a SegaCD model 1 (which takes the same AC adapter as a Genny model 1) but I dont have an AC adapter for it. But I do have a TG16. I would look myself but I am at work. If they are incompatible then I want to stop on the way home and pick up a universal AC adapter.

Thanks.

They're the same.. I use my Gen. model 1 power supply for my TG-16 all the time. :D

Hey

The voltage is the same but the amp rating is slightly higher for the Genny. Not a big deal though.

Well I've obviously been home at this point so I checked myself. My genny adapter says 9V and the TG16 adapter says 10.5 volts...

You guys sure I'm not going to fry something?

Hey

The sega adapter I use says 10 volts and the one I use for my TG16 says 9 volts and I have been using it for 5 years.

p.s. some electronic products like canon and hp printers are keyed to specific voltages like 10.5 and 7.5 but most others are not. So anything + or - 2 volts is not much of a big deal. AC or DC and polarity is the big deal.

OK thanks, man. I'll give it a shot.
