Grrr......

I posted this on Buying and Selling also, but no one has responded and I'm starting to get desperate.

I bought a headphone adapater with my GBA SP so I could plug in my headphones. Well, it seems recently I lost it (It's a rather small piece of plastic, just two plugs and a few inches of cord) so I was looking for a new one.

Damn if I can find one anywhere, though. I've searched numerous stores and online sites, and they are all either listed as being out of stock or backordered. :/

I know the GBA SP is slowing down in terms of support and production, but are'nt these stupid things MADE anymore?

Can anyone help me get one, PLEASE? If you have one in your area, can you buy it and send it to me? I'll pay you extra for it and send you trade bait to boot for your hassle. Please PM me or reply here if you can get one.

I don't know if you've tried this, or are willing to pay, but I got my SP headphone adapter along with a set of other stuff... from Pelican Accessories iirc. Some other companies made bundles of accessories too that included an SP headphone adapter. Also look for "GBA-SP only headphones" - I saw some that were actually just a cheap pair of headphones that had an adapter (which could be removed) stuck on the end.

I carry the headphones themselves now, but stopped carrying the adapter cable a LONG LONG time ago. They just didn't sell well (the headphones don't either, I'm just running out my stock)

Comes with some crap earbuds, but the price is right.

I got one in a set with some other shit stuff as well. I also have a set of the headphones that were won off a contest.

adaptor > earphones

With the adaptor, you can use REAL headphones.

The music in games like FFT:A is good enough to warrant wanting to use decent cans. Personally, I use Grado SR60s.

I too would like to get one of those adapter thingies. Haven't seen them anywhere though.

I didn't even know an adapter existed. I bought the GBA SP headphones themselves (I wonder if the adapter is at end or if I'm just stuck with this cheap pair), they were labeled like a Misc Accessory at gamestop and were only $2 or $3. I'll keep my eyes open =)

I picked up a 3rd party adaptor+headphones at best buy for 7 bucks yesterday. Pretty nice, even has a slot on the adaptor that you can charge the GBA while using the headphones.

I got an extra one. Send me a PM and I'll mail it to you. I don't think its a Nintendo Branded one. I believe I got it in a pelican accessory kit.

Laters.

Lol @ using Grado headphones for a GBA game. Personally, I think hearing "Offense and Defense" from Castlevania: HoD through Sennheiser HD-80s at high volume will melt brains over an extended period...

Doh.....Lady, I SEARCHED Nintendo's website, I REALLY did -- how did YOU find those when I failed? :)

Anyway -- yeah, that's what I used to have and what I'm looking for again -- OFFICIAL headphone adapaters so I can use my high quality Sony CD headphones with my GBA SP. I know Nintendo charges a arm and a leg for shipping, but since I want official I'll probaly just bite the bullet.

Thanks for the help, guys. :)

Because I'm used to search through game and tech companies' websites for stuff, thanks to my job? Seriously, though, I went to the Nintendo Store website, clicked on Parts & Accessories, Manuals > Game Boy > Game Boy Advance SP. Then there it was: there were only 2 items on the page, including the adaptor.

Okay, either it was'nt there when I checked or I had some other kind of problem. Thanks for making me feel stupid. :D
