I went to www.imdb.com trying to see if there was any more info on the upcomming Metroid movie. Some of the choices that popped up were video games. I tried a few other video games and found a couple more. I haven't tried any obscure titles yet, but there really wasn't any good info for these games. I thought it was interesting....maybe its in the early stages. Has anyone else seen this before?

Yep. Although there is barely nothing on the early games (say '95 and earlier), more recent games have some nice info on them. Trivia, voice actors, etc. It's worth checking out a few entries.

Yep, have noticed this a few times. I also think imdb have some porno titles in their database hehe.

Yeah, I noticed that before, too. Check this one out:

I can't believe Ridley Scott has his name on that horrible game O_O

I love the IMDB games database. Its always interesting looking up a game youve been playing and finding something interesting about the voice actors. i.e: Jen Taylor, the voice of Cortana in Halo, also did the voices for Peach in several of the Mario Party games :) and shes hot too
Another interesting fact: The voice actor (cant remember his name) for Max Payne also starred in one of the seasons of that Dodge Viper tv series about the super high tech dodge viper.

I'm not surprised they cover games, more and more seasoned actors are doing vg voice overs and if IMDB wants to really list their entire body of work they have to include the games. It would just be incomplete without them.

I like IMDB too, but I don't understand why they list games on a movie database. Am I the only one here that thinks that's odd? :hmm:

Wow! John Kassir (Buster Bunny - Tiny Toons, Crypt Keeper - Tales from the Crypt) does a lot of voice acting in videogames now

The emphasis seems to be on documenting the voice acting contributions, much like the listings for animated movies, cartoon series and such are there for. It really is another form of acting (evidenced by Batman: TAS in my opinion) that can have its highs and lows.

I learned this when someone questioned Harold Ramis' (Egon Spengler) writing credit for a game listed. We decided it was wrong. You decide:

Someone is calling BS down on the message board part of the page too.

Digital Press has a small presence here and there too. Some of my reviews from here are linked in External reviews for games they had listed. Not sure if it ever made a difference and I should submit more, but it's something you know now.

All the voice actor information is extremely useful, since so many of them recur and otherwise I'd be left going, "Ah man, who IS that guy?!"
You can also learn lots of terrifying things, like that The Boss (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0015935/) and Volgin (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0743719/) were both in the Spongebob Squarepants movie. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0345950/)
I'm not kidding.
