Gamecube Broadband Adapters!! Good news!

These are going for insane prices on ebay, and I'd been unable to find them at any retailer at any price. I'm aware of the short-supply of these at the first release, and of the rumored reasons, but for those of you who haven't yet got one, and don't want to buy one off of ebay, I've got some good news!!

Nintendo has them available on their site!! In their store!!! AND THEY AREN"T BACK-ORDERED ANYMORE!!!! They are shipping. RIGHT. NOW. Woo hoo!!! Mine is on its way. So for those of you who just HAD to have the broadband adapter right away, and paid WAY too much for it... :P I'll see YOU on PSO.

I still see a few at local Walmarts. Some bidders on eBay are just too lazy to look for one locally or probably never realized you can get one frm Nintendo. Or worse, those bidders had been fooled into thinking the BBA for GC is really discontinued and/or recalled.

Actually, I do believe these WERE backordered for some time. Anotherfluke (Nate) works for Nintendo, and he told us the reason was because they weren't sending another shipment of them out until after Christmas (apparently they wouldn't be ready with enough to send until then?). A few stores did have some in stock, but they were part of the first shipment that was sent out, and apparently just were not bought at that store. I know my local Walmart had a few as well (I bought & sent one to dsullo here as well as a modem adapter for myself), but once those disappeared, they weren't restocked.

maybe some more folks will get online with PSO now.

Hopefully nintendo will release some new online games and a keyboard

I already have $5 down for a BBA at my EB so I guess I'll wait till they call.I could be here for a while.... ;) :o :roll:
