View Full Version : The Game Boy Advance must live.
I just realized that once the GBA is dead, since it is the only system that really any 2D games are released for anymore, 2D gaming will be completely a thing of the past. I dread the thought of that since 2D gaming is awesome. We must not abandon what made gaming great. The PSP is good, but I think handheld gaming technological innovations should slow down a bit.

you just now realized this?
though i really thing one of the reasons the gba has been as successful as its been is because it offers games you cant get on modern consoles. If the DS and PSP offer mostly stuff that is already on consoles, i cant see either of them owning the market like the GBA has for the past few years.

Im really hoping that this mentality of 2D being " a thing of the past" will become the normal view among people....
Then they will sell all their gameboy games, and NES games to me...hopefully
I will miss 2D, dont get me wrong. :embarrassed:

If Nintendo got their shit together and made 2-D/GBA-style games for the DS that incorporated the second screen and everything else the DS has to offer, we'd be in business. I bought a DS hoping that this would be the case, and it actually has been. Mr. Driller and Yoshi's Touch & Go spring to mind.
