Recently got my 1st negative on ebay, after over 1000 positives. Why? The buyer wasn't home when fedex tried to deliver the package and (here's where it gets really sad)he had to call them up and schedule a second delivery. Horrors! The redelivery, by the way, was made the same day.
This got me thinking, what's the lamest or wierdest reason anyone has given for posting a negative for you?

omg, thats crazy. I would have contacted ebay for that. They might remove it.
Ive only recived 1 negative too.
I won an auction on a Saturday Night (i think). Then I notice the guy doesnt take Paypal. So I went to the post office on monday to send the money as a registered letter, but I wasnt allowed to send money like this to USA.
So I e-mailed the guy and said I had to pay him another way and then he gave me negative feedback because he said I made him nervous.. I dont know why. I would have payed him if he didnt give me negative feedback after 2-3 days. Takes longer to pay if he doesnt have Paypal.

That is the most idiotic one so far ... what did the neg say ? You were a bad seller for Fedex not delivering to him when he was at home ?

The comment was:
"Not shipped with promised carrier, delivery failed because of shipping error."
Even though the auction clearly stated that I intended to use fedex.
Actually the neg doesn't bother me so much - it's a weird kind of relief to not have to worry about my 7-year perfect record anymore. 99.9% positive is still pretty good.
I just wanted to hear some other people's bizarre feedback stories.

I got a neg a few days ago. I had some auctions up that paid into my friend ajay's paypal account [Long story, short version is I owed him some money]
Anyways, the guy won a copy of Super Mario All-Stars off me for 7.00, and he refused to pay. He said it was too wierd that the paypal went into someone's account that had a different name from me.
Well, after 3 days he paid, and I shipped the following day. I thought it was all over until yesterday [3 days after I shipped] I got this...
BEWARE SELLER IS A CON HIS BUDDY IS HIS PAYPAL METHOD BUDDY IS VERIFIED SELLER N
Okay... Like I would really con him out of 7 bucks when I'm getting positive feedbacks from people who paid 10 times that amount for thier auctions.
I'm really looking forward to when his game arrives and he feels like a total idiot LOL

I had a guy buy I think a dozen PS2 games that I was selling for a friend. Even though I specifically state I don't ship overseas in the auction, he bids anyway.
I make the mistake of shipping to him. He pays quickly, but wants surface mail going to Barbados. He e-mails me every day, asking where his package is. After three days, I finally tell him they're shipped and there's nothing more I can do. You have to wait.
Negative for fraud and rudeness.

Got this one from my "friend" Jamesr833:
buyer very unsatified. sent two packages and kept both. sellers BEWARE!!
trying to have it removed but may not bother paying the $25 mediator fee for paying $9.49 on an item.

eBay won't do a damn thing. They won't even consider it. The only way that you can get a negative removed is if bother the buyer and seller agree to withdrawl their negatives.

For whatever its worth I wouldn't make a Paypal payment to a person other than the seller that I bought from either.

Well, I accepted money orders as well. He said "sending a money order would cost me $5.00 in gas money", so it went beyond that.

This was in my old ebay account , I made a same day payment to the seller i won the auction, surprise i got when i received a neg from him, i emailed him and said . "Hey , why have giving me a negative feedback"
And he says for what i remember,
"sorry i clicked the wrong circle, ive tried to change it ,but i cant, i feel very bad sorry, please do no contact me again ,my stress levels are very high and i dont want to get sick.
Ive contacted ebay.com.au , their automated response was that we both had to agree.
So i contacted the seller again, and for what i remember he said something like this
" Please do not email me again, im a person with a very intense treatment and i cant deal with what ive done, this is a warning, if you email me again i will contact your closest police station for harrasment , your game was sent and please leave me alone now."
By this point i was freaking out, contacted ebay again with all my emails and his emails and ebay did nothing.
So i got a neg saying .... "Fast Payment , Thank you."

Thid didn't happen to me but i remember reading somewhere that someone got a negative (as a seller) because the buyer thought the game he just got sucked... Like the entire transactions goes perfect, but you get a negative because the buyer doesn't like the game x_x

I had a guy leave me negative feedback because he couldnt pay for the item. He couldnt afford it. I told him he needs to pay for it because he bid on it. Then I said he could reimburse me the final fees and the listing fees. He said no then neg'd me. Saying I was mean and not understanding. By the way, this wasnt a kid, this was an adult.
