That's quite a conclusion to jump to. o_O By "everything" they probably mean everything that's currently in production, AKA stuff for GBA, GameCube, and DS, along with various merchandise.

Dustin Diamond. If I'm not mistaken, he has a band of some sort now. I remember the Onion AV Club having an interview with him a couple of years ago. Just thought I'd throw that random nugget out there.

??? Does this mean they are selling top loaders or not? I'm sorry, but I'm just not sure what you were getting at. I get that they are selling Nintendo products, but does that mean they are selling ALL nintendo products? I mean, will I get the original Game n' Watches there? Etc. :)

Cmon, do you REALLY think they are gonna sell toploaders? Do you think they started the ol' manufacturing machines back up because a few people want a toploader? Nintendo has said it before, they are NOT going to start remaking NES.

if they DO have them, which they WON'T, they are NOS and will be gone as soon as someone buys whatever is left of them.

They probabley mean all "current" things made by Nintendo. If they actually sold EVERYTHING made by Nintendo, they would have to start reproducing Game and Watches and other really old items (which would never happen). I would be shocked if they had any items at all older than N64.

Oddly enough, I DID see your friend. I think everyone saw your friend. I didn't know their hat had anything to do with Nintendo, but I kept staring at it anyway.

Were they lucky enough to get in the store? The lines at the opening were so long that all I did was get my picture taken with Mario and collect a limited edition Pokemon card (not that I play, but I like free stuff). I was disappointed that you had to stand in line and register for all the neat activities being held. Also, who the heck was that so-called celebrity Ryan guy we were supposed to be excited to compete with?

Well, I just got back from the grand opening of Nintendo World. It was great fun, but we got there a bit late (it was close to 4), so by the time we got out of the store everything was being cleaned up outside. It was pretty crazy outside, tons of people and no order to the madness. Unless there was somebody there earlier that I don't know of, I think Nintendo's idea of a "celebrity" was a guy dressed up as Mario. :P I wish I could've got my picture taken with him, but he was gone when I got back outside and I think they were charging for it anyway. The Pikachu car was there, along with various "Who are you?" vans and such. There were lots of competitions going on out there, and there was a huge line of people waiting to get stuff downloaded into their Pokemon Emerald/Fire Red/Leaf Green and Pokemon Dash games.

So yeah, we avoided this insanity and got in the half-avenue long line to get into the store. It was a good thing we did too because I think they cut off the line for the day shortly after we got on it. We were waiting for at least a good 30 minutes, but it wasn't so bad because we had a steady stream of free goodies being handed out and we were laughing for a good while after we saw a fat, middle-aged man dressed up like James from Team Rocket (which I should point out was the ONLY fan we saw in cosplay).

So we finally got in and saw a lot of GBA and SP stuff downstairs. Tons of display units to try and a wall of for big-screen playing. There was a pretty cool little circle-shaped lounge, and there were kids playing the Pokemon card game and such. The coolest thing about the first floor was the Legend of Zelda SP signed by Miyamoto. Since none of us are Pokemaniacs, we quickly went upstairs. First thing I went to was the display case where I saw the AVS NES, the Gulf War Game Boy playing Tetris, the "history of Game Boy" display, the NES and Famicom, the Hanafuda cards, and all the other nifty stuff. Then I wandered around looking at the merchandise and games, and there were a ton of GameCube display units with people playing Smash Bros. Finally, we went over to the "vibrating chairs", and I played some Mario Kart: Double Dash. I'm amazed that they have so many full versions of GameCube games (along with some videos of a few games) all on ONE GameCube disc. o_O The screens they had were beautiful too, and the egg-shaped chairs were spiffy. I didn't do so great playing, but it didn't help that some little Asian toddler was walking back and forth in front of my screen, tripping on my controller's cord. :/ His mom just couldn't keep him in line; he was doing the same thing when my boyfriend was playing F-Zero GX, which caused he to say to the kid "You fucking idiot!", haha. Despite the kid screwing him up at first, my boyfriend was doing quite well, and he got a little crowd around him and when he was done this dorky kid told him "WOW! You're amazing!" :P

So that was about it. We were thinking of buying some stuff (my boyfriend wanted to get me the "I am Samus" shirt), but since we're broke, we ultimately decided not to. His brother got a skull cap and a DS case, though.

The most interesting thing about the event was that there were these Japanese men in suits standing around. I guess they sent some Nintendo bigwigs to size up how the event went.

Here's a photo of the freebies we got, sans one of our Mario pins:

http://www.inverteddungeon.com/triacesuperfan/nintendoworldfreebies.jpg

I also saw a lot of people with little Pikachu balloon thingies on a stick, but I never got one. :( I never found anyone giving out the Donkey Kong pin either. Where the heck were they? I guess I failed at Nintendo's "Gotta get 'em all!" thing. :( But if anyone has a spare Donkey Kong and needs a Pikachu or Mario, I'll trade with ya. :P

My boyfriend's bro took some photos at the event, so if I can get ahold of them (and if they're worth posting), I'll try to get them up.

No ther did not,Nintendo did say'd Everything fome them and thats means NES's too. - _ -Could you please spell "From" correctly? Just once? And "Said"? And "Block party"?

I highly doubt they'd sell stuff they don't have in production right now. It would not only be a huge loss, but a huge loss. It would lose money. But it'd be damn cool.

Although one suspects Nintendo may have a warehouse full of Virtual Boys...

No, I'll stop. Nintendo probably won't be selling vintage products at the store, but they obviously still want to cash in on their brand. Hence the shirts at Hot Topic and constant remakes. I wouldn't be surprised if they regularly offered limited edition nostaglia cash-ins at the store, which would be great even if they weren't original grey brick Game Boys or NES Zappers.

I'll post more soon but bought a Zelda and DK pin in the store, took pictures, got free pins and after everything was closing up my friends and i started talking to one the crew members. He gave us each a handful of those rubber Nintendo bracelets and some Ice Climber pins.

Niiiice! Nintendo has some of the coolest swag. I got a "Who Are You" pin from the rep like almost a year and a half ago. I'm wearing the damn thing out. I wear it at work all the time. I also got a calendar and a um.. cap? Hat? I dunno the kids term for it these days. But it's got Nintendo in that weird graffiti font. Also a refrigerator magnet with different characters on it and a "Today I am" frame to select your character. Not to mention all the paper posters as well as the plastic with stick kinds for GoldenEye 007 (My favorite), Donkey Kong Country 2, Final Fantasy I+II (Or is it Tactics Advanced? I forget.) and a Nintendo "Touching is Good" DS one. Niiice.

I still kick myself for missing out on that "World of Nintendo" globe on eBay.

More pictures! We need more people to go in and take pictures. I love this stuff!

I still like the Samus, DK, Mario and Link pins they were selling along with the DK patches.

Oh and if anyone saw a girl wearing a green Link hat- she's a friend of mine and makes those hats and sells them at cons.

Took pictures, most them didn't come out as well as I hoped thanks to the over-crowding. The girl in pic "Dscf0011.jpg" is a friend of mine, and pic "Dscf0028.jpg" has the 2 pins I bought and the free swag my friends and I picked up.

Wow man, you really believe Nintendo is going to have all their old stuff for sale, don't you? Why don't you call NOA up and ask them about carrying Top Loader NES at the Nintendo store. x_x
