have you ever dressed up as a game character for halloween? 2 years ago, i went as master cheif, then last year, i went as sam fisher from splinter cell. this year i'm planning on being a little crazier and going as a giant NES controller. i figure it'll be a good costume as well as an awesome wall decoration after halloween. also cosplaying at conventions does'nt count unless it was really good. i'm sure we've all seen enough people dressed up like Cloud or tifa. ;)

Well, I was sonic for halloween in 1st grade, and in 3rd grade I had my mom make me a (not even kidding) Mog the Moogle costume. I'm pretty sure it was awful looking, though. :/

Well, when i was real small and my parents were basically poor, my dad took two giant yellow posterboards, two small black posterboards, did some cutting, and I became a walking Pac-Man, wearing the two pieces like you would an Eat at Joe's sign.

However, years later, when my love of Transformers came into play (they have video games, it counts) my dad made me the ultimate costume, EVER. This in turn became my muse to create my two future costumes.

I was Link for Halloween when I was probably... around 8. It was hand-made.

I'll risk major embarassment by coughing up a pic:

Sorry for the poor quality, but that's scanned in off an old Polaroid.

I can't think of any game characters I went as... but I did go as Pee Wee one year :embarrassed:

I went as Super Mario back in 3rd grade. I think the only time I got to display my costume was at my sister's girl scouts march through downtown. I had a pair of suspenders, a red shirt, and my mom took one of my dad's red hats and sewed an "M" onto it.. Oh yeah, she also drew a moustache on me as well.

The last time I ever dressed up to go trick or treating (1990), I went as a video game character; specifically, Rick Taylor from Splatterhouse.

Betcha didn't see that one coming. LOL

Made the costume myself with materials I had at hand, not that it was a hard costume to make. I just wore a pair of blue jeans and old work boots, got an old blue work shirt from my dad and hacked it up a bit (and added a few bloodstains), and bought a cheapo Jason mask, which I then painted red - at the time, the only Splatterhouse I'd seen was the TG16 game, where Rick does wear a red mask. A toy shotgun completed the costume, and after that I was ready to go hunt some zombies. Or at least steal their candy. ;)

There were Mario and Zelda masks back in the day, if I remember correctly. Only time I've seen a video game-related costume was this one boy who made a cardboard PaRappa mask.

Hmm, I never went as a video game charatcter. But a couple years ago I made a Hanky the Christmas Poo costume.

That's a pretty nice costume, if I do say so myself.
