Guys, I've made the decision to change from a gamer-collector (or maybe collector-gamer) to a pure gamer.
In my library of over 300 games, there's just too many games that I never play, or don't see myself playing ever.
Why did I even buy it, I pondered.
So expect a firesale from me in the coming week or so as I sort out which titles I no longer wish to own. Oh I won't touch the good stuff, of course. :)

I do have DC games but right now I'm not looking to part with any of them.
The games I will be selling (and not off eBay to the previous poster) will be US, JP, and PAL Saturn games. I realize I have way too many games I just don't play, so hopefully someone else can use it.

Hey
we all come to different realizations from time to time. Personally I have only bought because I got them cheap or actually wanted to play them. Even so I have hit the 1000 mark.
btw if you have a sega ages or galaxy force II for the saturn I would be interested :)

I was in the same position a while back....I ended up reducing my collection from about 1200 to about 900. It's still probably way too many games, but I can't part with many more of them! :/
I get this feeling every now and then also. Best thing to do is put them away in a big plastic bin and store it. That way there are no regrets down the road. Being a gamer is too expensive. I don't buy new stuff. I have as much fun playing old games as I would new ones. I have literally thousands of games for many systems. I don't play them all no. But when I get in a the right mood it is good to know that I can still play them.

As I just passed 1000 games yesterday I have little room to speak of non-collecting, but I understand the urge. I'm getting one right now. I probably have played less than 1/5 of my collection. Now that I passed the 1000 mark I plan to change my collecting habits. Instead of buying crap for every system I see, I plan to focus on my NES and finish that collection off. I'm already at 500 so it should be a slower, and less expensive, battle than shooting for 1000 games was. My advice, don't sell too much. You'll end up wanting it back later and will have to pay a premium for it. Box it up, keep it around, and if someday you totally decided to get out of gaming then it will be time to sell. I wish I had done that with my SNES games back in the day, but there was no internet to tell me.

Thanks everyone, but please understand that... well, I doubt I'll regret getting rid of games like Johnny Bazookatone and Machine Head.... ;)
Dragon Force's and Puzzle Fighter's of the world, I am not selling away... never will. :)
