Have you all noticed all the fraudulate item listings at amazon.com. I have tried to buy NEW and FACTORY sealed consoles from amazon.com and all of the sellers listing their n64 consoles are selling used ones under the NEW cond.catagory. I also tried to buy a FACTORY sealed wipeout xl in the ps1 catagory and got a pc version. Amazon won't do anything about the sellers and listings. Have any of you had trouble buying from amazon third party sellers. If you look at their website its out of control

There's a simple solution... don't buy from them anymore. And if anyone's screwing you over, report them to Amazon.com, and if they won't do anything, have a word with the Better Business Buerau.
I hate when people do that, try to scam you. Like this last week a guy selling a Dreamcast, shows a picture of the Sports Edition, and in small print says, unit white. Grrrr. This other guy trying to sell a Dreamcast for $70! Had RARE System in the description. Nice try buddy. Heres YOUR sign!

People on Ebay do stuff like that all the time too. Buyer beware. If you do get screwed, call the seller and demand a refund. If they won't give you one, call Amazon or Ebay and explain. They'll probably help you. If that doesn't work, call your credit card company (if you paid with a card) and see if this falls under your buyer protection plan (if you have one). One of my cards lets me refuse to pay for things if I was not given the service or product I paid for. I haven't had to use that yet, but I do like the fact that it's there.

Since I sell all the time on Amazon ($200-300 a month), let me just say yes, there are some bad buyers. You need to look at their feedback and scores, just like on EBay.
And sometimes you need to read the item carefully. Amazon does'nt list everything that is sold. For example, when I went to sell a extra copy of System Shock last year, they don't list it, so I put it under System Shock 2 saying in the description in LARGE LETTERS SYSTEM SHOCK 1!!!! I STILL had to refund someone's money because they did'nt notice that.
But Amazon is GREAT when it comes to refunds. They could kick EBay's ass all day on that point. The few times I've had problems with a seller not sending me stuff I paid for, I filed a claim and had my money back in a matter of a couple weeks.

I've been seeing some interesting stuff on Amazon lately. One guy was claiming he had a "refurbished" copy of Ultima Exodus for the NES for sale, that had a new battery, the box, and all the manuals and documents that the game originally came with. It was $50. It sounded cool to me, but I didn't want to pay $50 and risk getting a big package of nothing for it. I haven't had time to research it at all, but I was wondering if anybody else knew if they were legit.

$50 seems high. I picked up a complete Ultima with the hint book for around $15-20 on ebay. If the original battery still works, don't worry about a 'refurbed' copy. Cross that bridge when you get there. If your battery dies, I'm sure there are people on here that can replace for you for a small fee.

Yeah, you're probably right. I've actually never had one die, anyway. My parents live about 20 minutes away from Nintendo of America, and they'll replace it as well.
